Conduit Physiology: Rowan does not generate magic. She absorbs and contains magic already in motion (spells, force, raw energy) Controlled Bleed: At lower levels, she can divide absorbed power into small, gold and black balls that hover above her hand before dissipating. Magical Dampening: Her presence naturally suppresses unstable or excess magic in her immediate vicinity Pressure Sensitivity: She can sense shifts in magical tension, or when power is building, about to be used, or losing control Stealth: She moves quietly and deliberately, rarely drawing attention unless intended Observation: She constantly reads people, space, and power dynamics with precision Strategic Thinking: She calculates outcomes before acting; rarely reacts impulsively Emotional Control: She maintains composure under pressure; difficult to provoke Restraint: As a conduit, she holds back more than she reveals, physically, emotionally, and magically |

Limited Capacity: She can only safely contain what her current strength allows Undertrained Expansion: She has never been taught to increase her limits, only maintain them Delayed Release: She tends to hold power longer than necessary, increasing internal strain Non-Originating Power: She cannot create magic. She only absorb and redirect existing energy Internal Failure Risk: Overload collapses inward first, putting her at greater risk than her surroundings Starfire Formation: When intake exceeds her capacity, power compresses into a dense, unstable black mass with internal gold fractures, releasing without control and very often damaging to anyone or anything it touches. Faebane (also known as Bloodbane) It is a powerful chemical weapon that neutralizes and suppresses powers and prevents natural healing abilities. When a Fae comes in contact with the poison, it essentially makes them temporarily mortal, susceptible to death as quickly as a human would die from an injury. It drains their powers and prevents their inherent magic from healing their wounds. Form: Faebane is a blue, gorsian-like stone found in high mountain ranges. It is used in several ways: As a fine powder that can be added to food, water, or dispersed as a mist in the air. Embedded in poisoned ash wood arrows (ash wood also inhibits Fae healing). Fashioned into shackles/handcuffs to capture and contain Fae prisoners, nullifying their magic. Ashwood Ashwood serves as the primary physical "Kryptonite" for all Fae. Ashwood is lethal because it strikes at their two greatest assets: magic and physiology. Neutralization of Power When an Fae is pierced by or in close proximity to Ashwood, it acts as a magical grounding wire. Magic Dampening: If an Faeis bound in Ashwood shackles, their internal reservoir of power is completely suppressed, leaving them as vulnerable as a human. Nullification of Healing: Fae possess an accelerated healing factor that allows them to survive injuries. Ashwood completely halts this process. The Poisoning Effect: An Ashwood arrow or blade leaves a residual "poison" in the wound that prevents the Fae body from knitting itself back together. |
