Caelan Vorenir

Caelan Vorenir was born during the later years of Denethor’s rule within the lower circles of Minas Tirith. His father served as a stonemason repairing old defenses along Gondor’s outer territories, while his mother descended from one of the lesser Dúnedain bloodlines absorbed into Gondor generations earlier.

As a boy, Caelan cared little for courtly life or soldiery. He preferred the outer lands… the river paths, wooded hills, and old forgotten watch-roads stretching toward Ithilien. Rangers passing through the city fascinated him more than captains in polished armor ever did.

By sixteen (16), he entered service under the Rangers of Ithilien. There he learned under hardened men who understood that survival often depended less upon strength than silence:
During the War of the Ring, Caelan served beneath Captain Faramir in Ithilien’s hidden operations against Mordor’s movements.

He witnessed: Though he survived the war, many within his unit did not.

When peace finally came beneath King Aragorn’s reign, Caelan expected relief. Instead… he found himself uncertain. The Shadow was gone. Yet the silence left behind unsettled him more than battle once had.

As Gondor rebuilt, Rangers were dispatched across reclaimed territories:
It was during these assignments that Caelan began hearing unsettling reports:
Others dismissed such stories as superstition born from war. Caelan did not.

And somewhere along the coastal trade roads between Ithilien and Dol Amroth… his path would eventually cross with a caravan. A meeting that would alter the course of both their journeys far more than either yet understood.
