Culture
Vida's home culture is misogynistic, raw and money-centric, and as a result, she has adopted a lot of typically masculine perspectives and finds it acceptable to consider others as objects. She learned how to manipulate men very early in her life, finding it to be one of the only ways she could get what she wanted, and actively rebelled against male dominance as soon as she was able to do so. She perceives physical and psychological dominance over men as the only way to maintain her lifestyle and affluence. In the mid-years of her life, she adapted to become less sympathetic towards other women, owing to the need to earn respect from her peers and use them to fill her coin purse. In short, she has never lived in an open-minded culture where she has been free to develop herself as she might have wished and believes that it is now too late to do so. She will aggressively defend her culture regardless of her thoughts on it, since it has been the source and fuel of her current freedom despite the personal toll it has taken on her (and countless others).
History/Lifestyle
Vida lives a nomadic lifestyle on board her ship, the Intaha. She takes what she can and uses it to 'better' herself, usually monetarily or in terms of reputation. Her crew are almost exclusively male (with the exception of on-board whores, who Vida does not consider to be worthy of her empathy) and she enjoys a fairly masculine lifestyle of fighting, drinking and pillaging. Her detachment from others has come directly from this lifestyle, as it became apparent early on that if she was going to find success, she was going to have to come to terms with the brutalities of piracy and raiding. She has spent time as a slave, a butchers' assistant and, for a short while, a whore, before she found her feet. She appreciates the camaraderie of her crew and has long-since learned to enjoy the more visceral and bloody parts of her life. She does not easily make attachments, finding them to be a weakness she can't afford. Despite this, she has always coveted the idea of the trusting relationships she has never seen. If asked about this topic, however, she claims indifference and will dismiss the notion as 'common and weak'.

Crew: 93 total crewmen, all refer to themselves as 'Intahans'. They have each sworn an oath to their ship and Captain and are permitted to keep a percentage of what they take (increasing in ranked increments).
Intahan Lifestyle:
Crewmen of the Intaha are typically criminals. Vida has an excellent working relationship with numerous gaols in Kohazzah and the Kalahari Coast; she will frequently visit these gaols and 'foster' recently released criminals who are likely to re-offend. The Intaha will then skulk along differing coasts and well-known merchant routes, and will consequently board and raid where it sees the advantage to do so. The Intaha will harvest both goods and people, and will transport both to various ports that will be of most benefit to their finances. People taken by the Intaha are immediately classed as slaves, and Vida and her crew will implement methods to break them before arriving into a port in order to make more money. The crew have free use of any captured slaves whilst travelling, though there are stipulations in place to prevent any damage that might lower the value of the individual.
