The young woman's powers stem from her mother's side of the family. She discovered them at a very young age, and although her mother did the best she could at keeping her daughter way from the more offensive side of psionic abilities, Lauren still managed to develop some rather fight-worthy powers...

• Telekinesis :: Mental manipulation of the movement of people and items
  Preps :: 0-6 (ex: moving small needles - moving large tables)
  Targets :: Allies, enemies, & items
  Notes :: Lauren's most well-practiced skill, followed closely by psychokinesis
• Psychokinesis :: Mental physical damage against items and people; bending spoons, for example
  Preps :: 0-6 (ex: bending pieces of straw - nearly punching holes in wooden doors)
  Targets :: Enemies & items
  Notes :: Second most practiced skill, used to bend things and give her punches and kicks harder hits
• Teleportation :: Mental-based movement from one location to another
  Preps :: 3-5 (ex: teleporting 10 yards - teleporting to 40 yards)
  Targets :: Self, allies
  Notes :: Not very well practice; Lauren shies away from using it often because a botched attempt severed her tail from the rest of her body
• Telepathy :: Mental-based communication between people
  Preps :: 0-3(ex: targets beside the caster - targets up to 30 feet away)
  Targets :: Allies
  Notes :: Weak but is used more than teleporting; those with mental barriers against mental intrusion automatically block her out, and Lauren isn't strong enough to crack through them

Magics pertaining to morals such as being "holy/beneficial" or "evil/dark" affect Lauren oddly. They do not follow bloodlines or racial dispositions for those of the non-human lot. They instead follow her alignment and can be classified like so:

The Good Alignments
Holy magic made to benefit good works 2x-4x better than normal, and dark magics made to benefit evil only work 0.5x-0.25x effectively against her.

Holy magic made to harm evil works 0.5x-0.25x as well, and dark magic made to harm good works 2x-4x better.

The Neutral Alignments
Holy and dark magic work as they normally would, with no alignment preference.

The Evil Alignments
Holy magic made to benefit good only works 0.5x-0.25x as effectively on Lauren, and dark magics made to benefit evil work 2x-4x better.

Holy magic made to harm evil works 2x-4x better, and dark magic made to harm good only works 0.5x-0.25x as effective

Lauren is Chaotic Good, so what does this mean?
She gains a bonus for her Good alignment, but is slightly hindered by her Chaotic tendencies:

• Beneficial holy magic boots 2x
• Harmful holy magic does 0.5x of its normal damage
• Beneficial dark magic boosts 0.5x
• Harmful dark magic boosts 2x

Claws
Charcoal grey and deadly, Lauren sports them on both her hands and her feet. The ones along her fingers are pointed and sharp, more in line with a domesticated feline. The ones along her toes are duller and worn down from the constant pressure of walking applied to them. Lauren sheds their topmost layers periodically.

Fangs
Her teeth are the ones of an omnivore but pointier. They are capable of tearing flesh from bone and chewing down plants and herbs, but the edges are sharper. They make her grins look somewhat devilish.

Tail
Lauren's tail, in general appearance, is natural for her bloodline. She shares this spiked trait with her siblings and father, yet the one attached to the base of her spine is not the one she was born with. This one is instead a replacement from botched teleportation and has been modified over the years to proper lengths as Lauren has grown up into an adult. Its unique coloration is a result of the ruined dye job of the original creator's making.

Shape Shifting
Innate but highly undeveloped, Lauren is unaware of these capabilities nor is knowledgeable on how to develop them.

Beauty
Although Lauren does her best to be as presentable as possible, she actually does not have to try hard to be pretty. While by no means gorgeous or on the level of a "femme fatale", the lass has a strange natural aura of loveliness and grace going for her in spite of her appearance (but not her mannerisms).

Lauren can supernaturally retract her wings into her body and bring them back out again, a small hint at some very mild shape shifting capabilities. The process literally grows them out as if they were biologically developing (about twenty-years worth of growing crammed into a few seconds) and then retracts them back into her body in reverse.

It is a rather painful process both ways, but you'll be hard pressed to see her crying her eyes out over it. Her back and the wings ache for up to fifteen minutes afterwards, and the wings themselves are rendered useless until the pain wears off. When retracted, they take the form of two medium-sized patches of downy-soft feathers/fur with rows of small bumps down their centers (those are bone remnants). As an interesting quirk, if these patches are petted, Lauren acts like someone's scratching her behind the ears.

As for flying, she isn't very good at it. Her body isn't aerodynamic, and she doesn't know how to make that work out for her. Instead she can glide for very short distances, provided she starts out from a higher altitude than the one she's trying to land at.
