Ecksel is based off of the DnD half elves.

Immunity to magic sleep effects,

Low-Light Vision: A half-elf can see twice as far as a human in starlight, moonlight, torchlight, and similar conditions of poor illumination. He retains the ability to distinguish color and detail under these conditions. (However for Ecksel most details get a little blurred out the farther back. Basicly, for his low-light vision to work, he may need glasses.)

Talents!
Ecksel is quite talented with his hands. Oooh babby. Joking aside, he is very good at sleight of hand and may even make a talented thief.
He is also able to forgery things quite well although he prefers to use his skills in making copies or back up cards. He can also surf though he's not the best at it, its still better a newbie.

Curse of kind Aerys


What is it?
Some say it is a curse placed on a group of mages (Mostly consisting of elves) in Olmeid, that loooong ago decided "Hey! With this majhilichite we can alter reality and fate in our favor!" Unfortunately, this did not turn out well at all. Some say they managed to piss off the God of fate and order Fatyr and the goddess of Chance and Chaos Aerys.

It is a curse that is passed on from parent to child. Inheriting this curse is 100%. Once you have it, you have it for the rest of your live and there is no cure.

What does it do? Well for one it grants the individual the ability to use magic. Big deal. This magic so happens to be of the Chaos alignment. Awesome! Only its entirely chance based. Meaning to get a spell, I need to roll a set of die. To be successful for some spells, I still need to roll dice. It also means this individual produces a lot of raw magic and it seeps out of them, occasionally altering other things. They can essentially be magical batteries for other mages. On the down side.. This magical build up can have horrible effects. Such as shortening the life of the cursed. Some have a tendency of exploding very painfully. They are also prone to a kind of magical epilepsy. Sometimes this magic can be further agitated by uncontrolled emotions. In other words, it sucks to have this.

Another characteristic is that the magic works in fractals. It will branch off and split, and those splits would branch off into even smaller splits. This magic is part of the host, and because of these splits, it causes the host's consciousness to split. Although they are not separate or different personalities. They are the same personalities, just different aspects. This also caused the magic to become more unstable, because the host cannot focus or control it. The host will never be able to have complete control of their magic. Eventually the hosts' mind and body will no longer be able to take it anymore and will go insane early in life. (Around adult to middle age) Then it gets worse, The host will also be so dependent on the magic that being around anti magic could cause withdrawals. The host will start getting headaches, shakes, nausea, hallucinations and fatigued. Even worse is that because the fractal nature, the host is constantly building up magic. (Does not add a boost to preps) If the host does not expel built up magic, it will build up in joints, along the spine and behind the eyes causing muscle spasms, locked up joints, extreme pain and discomfort, epilepsy and occasionally paralysis. Order spells or element does double the damage but chaos spells are halved. Another note is that having this much chaotic magic forms a kind of chaotic Aura around the host, which can react with other magic. If the host is agitated with anger, fear, deep sadness, etc the magic that seems out can make a very high pitched buzzing sound. Symptoms develop very early in life, around early childhood and most with this affliction do not live past their Late Twenties. The longest lifespan has been about forty years. (Approximate age. Ecksel ages slowly in this case.)

The only benefits seem to be that this type of chaos magic allows flexibility with magic spells, the ability to break down some spells, break down matter to form it in back again. It also allows the ability to feel around for magical items and to see magical items.

Ecksel had been miraculously Cured from this curse!

Ecksel has a great deal of magic and knowledge of magic however.. It is limited to the kind that he learned from his homeland in Olmeid. It is cast from himself and thus is very draining so large or difficult spells can either knock him out, put him in a coma or could kill him. He also has little control over his magic because of the chaos element.

Basic Magic Roll:
roll 1d6
1-for protective, 2-destructive, 3-supportive, 4-debuff, 5-conjuration and 6-healing.

Ecksel's Healing spells are unique in that they are not aligned to any element. So a dark aligned person receiving this spell cannot be harmed. Also it helps regenerate or encourage regeneration of damage areas.

For results 1-5 roll another 1d11 for element.
1-dark, 2-water, 3-air, 4-fire, 5-earth, 6-light, 7-Ice, 8-metal 9-mind 10-illusion 11-choice

Teleportation:
Ecksel's teleportations work in portals. He was two points and could place those points anywhere. (providing they are successful.) Sometimes he can enchant a teleportation portal, or even teleport the pants right off of you.
Limitations: He can only teleport short distances or places he has been or seen.
By now Ecksel is so prolific in teleporting small objects that he has worked them into his routines.

Chaos Confusion:
An area effect spell or can target one person. It causes the target or targets with in the area to become disoriented. They may end up attacking allies, attacking innocents, performing some other task, running into the wrong direction, etc. Mostly used as a defensive spell.
Everyone effected by the spell needs to roll a 1d6 to see how they are effected.

1-Run in different direction in either fear or confusion., 2- targets or attacks an innocent bystander/ally, 3- Stop what ever you're doing and start dancing, 4- Stunned for a few seconds or minutes depending on prep of the spell., 5- You're disoriented, you'll lose accuracy but nothing else., 6- You're unaffected.

Non dice dependent spells:

Drain:
A spell that can drain either magic equal to it or less, through it makes little sense to do that or use, or the health/life out of another or item. It, however can be reversed, where as Ecksel can drain his magic/life and put it into another. This is in a way how he works some enchanting. This spell is one of the few that isn't effected by the chaos dice roll, because it is chaos aligned

Disintegrate:
A spell that breaks down magical items, or elemental items into either magic, or lesser elemental items. A large firestone could be broken up into fire essences or smaller firestones. Usually used to disenchant items or to store elements to influence later spells. Has a 1d8 chance to completely destroy the item.

Entropic shield:
A lot like it's DnD counterpart. a shield that he can set up (at least 4 preps) that is chaos elemental and can or will disintegrate any ranged weapons or attacks. cannot block magic and order spells can break it.

Influence.
This spell actually requires a partner who uses magic and cooperation. They can influence Ecksel's chaos or elemental rolls to get a desired effect or spell. Prep depends on the kind of spell.

Detect magical item:
2/2-nine feet radius. 3/3 12 foot radius. 4/4 15 foot radius. 5/5 19 foot radius.
Within a nine feet radius, Ecksel can feel magical items. Within three feet of him, he can see auras around said items and beable to detect what element they are, if they have an element. A roll 1d20 to tell exactly what the item does. 15+ is success.

A little side job for the little twerp is to take items, raw magical material or channel his own magic into the items to make something new, useful or useless. Which also needs to have a dice roll for it. Ecksel's enchantments can have any number or all kinds of effects, but once again, due to his chaotic magic, it is completely random, and has a high chance of breaking the object, or giving it the wrong enchantment.

Ecksel can trace or etch his magic into Glyphs and runes to channel or store magic into. By doing so he can modify spells, or store them later or get affects he normally could not with his own magic.

Olmeid Glyphs are a specific kind of magic taught in Olmeid that captures a concept or a word and becomes magic in of itself. In Olmeid it is believed that the goddess of Magic spoke in Glyphs and created by many things by simply writing them down or speaking them.
