• General Description

  Gabby typically sticks with comfort over looks. She never spends more then five minutes 'fixing' her hair. She only wears minimal amounts of make up, usually to hide bags under her eyes. Her clothes are usually the hand me downs of others which she'll wear till they literally fall off. It sort of doesn't give her much choice for a specific style. The only thing that was ever new were the glasses she almost always refuses to wear even when she has trouble seeing important things. Usually they're in a case shoved in her bag or left at home.

• Background

  Things were never easy for the Barnes girls. At the tender age of three, her sister five, Gabby's father passed away leaving their mother a single parent. With no ties to their so called 'family' their Mom was forced to raise her girls alone working herself nearly to exhaustion to make sure her girls had everything they needed. Not wanting either of them to have an even more complicated life, well that is what Gabby assumes now, she'd put a spell upon the two suppressing any power they had.
  
  
  When their Mom passed years later the spell that bound their powers was released. So not only were the two now dealing with the death of their only parent left but suddenly strange things began happening all around them. Things moving on their own. Things breaking on their own. At first Gabby tried not to accept it. Thought her grief was forcing her mind to make things up. But it wasn't.
  
  
  During the time frame when their mother had fallen ill Gabby had started seeing a therapist on the side at a local shelter. Between caring for her sick mother and her sisters constant absence she felt like her life had been spiraling out of control. This left her with almost no time for a normal life. She went to school, therapy, then home to her Mom. When her Mom passed and the girls ended up moving to Nexxus she had to leave behind her therapist who'd she gotten so used to. She didn't want to meet the new part of her 'family' or move from the only home she ever knew. But when they got their magic the girls needed any help they could.
  
  Secretly Gabby was hoping this new move would somehow help her sister as well. Deanna had been on a self destruct path for much too long. No matter what Gabby said or did her sister was the 'older' therefore 'wiser' one.
