  Cursory glances would afford the view of a rustic farmer, tall and wide with prominent muscles. Travel-worn cloak draped back despite the weather, displayed skin of darker tone than the mahogany-hued tunic; contrasted clover eyes. Crest of sun-lightened brunette stands stiff, flanked by scrawling tattoos across the scalp that vanished towards the rear. Clad in utilitarian cotton and leathers that showed frequent mending. With attentiveness; one would notice an array of sheathes concealed about his person. Two curved hatchets rest crossed at the small of his back, showing no signs of neglect. The scent of one who wore armor regularly lingered more faintly, slowly replaced with the scent of the deep forests. Some farmer indeed.
  
  Of the build to stoop through doorways, angling slightly to enter. Dark complexion contrasts eyes of brilliant green. Flesh highlighted by a myriad of silver scars, from ankles to ears, almost hiding the metallic sheen of runic tattoos creeping over his scalp; some freshly pink accent the left forearm. Short crest of sun-lightened brown hair bisects evenly while a short beard in matching tones contains several beads in braids. Attire never seems to reflect the weather, does little to conceal the heavily muscled frame beneath, shows signs of wear and tear. Exceptionally cared-for equipment are stowed securely from belts, sheathes and holsters worn comfortably without hindering motion. Purposeful stride accompanied by a stern, methodical, observation of any present would hint towards capable use and training, shadowed by a small wolf. Smells of the forest and metal.
  
  Of late, a small wolf has taken to following nearby. The typical smooth gait of a predator marred by its missing foreleg on the left side, though appearing not to hinder the beast terribly. Previously missing vitality has restored a healthy coat of timber hued fur while filling out its once malnourished body to the point that one would not believe it was a few steps from the grave. Standing roughly 36" at the shoulders, it would be able to brush Mortimer's fingertips with casual ease, and weighing on the heavier side of one-thirty. More feral than tame, and sporting a large leather band with the letters ' R A S 'crudely burned into its surface.

  Inlaid Tattoo

  The scrawling tribal tattoos over his skull were given by his own mother when he turned six. The intent of the village at this point is unknown to Mortimer, but due to his mother applying the tattoos he believes they were inscribed to protect him. In the right lighting they shine with a metallic quality but otherwise seem to be ordinary organic tattoos.

  Faintly glowing Rune

  Running from inner wrist to inner elbow resides an intricate eternity knot with a core of red that throbs in time with the ba-dump of his heart, blending with a minor blue-tinge at the edges while causing the balance of purple to ebb with each thump. A recent development signifying a spiritual bonding even he doesn't understand, having simply repeated an old family Oath. External glow is decidedly unimpressive but might draw the attention of those with magical senses.

  Mention of or sight of undead can be enough to throw his damaged soul into a near thoughtless rage. If they are known to him, he'll be compelled to action of some form. Typically, unless you're a moldering heap of rot that talks, he'll assume you're living.

  Crippling a limb does little to deter the offensive capabilities of this man. Use to the years of swinging weaponry as well as manual tools, his handedness is never inhibited. Shield use is unaffected as well.

  Ability: Bloodrage

  This blessing is rather double-edged as it will trigger during states of great emotional duress, lessening his physical awareness and limitations. Typically a blood rage only ceases when the amount of wounds have greatly exceeded the body and wills capacity to maintain stability. The closest explanation to this is that of the Bear, though dealt a mortal blow they continue to move much farther after they should have died. For the rage being a downside, it's typically a directed rage but can be brought to a boil and in the wrong setting could endanger everyone.

  The majority of magics have adverse effects when concerning Mortimer. Beneficial spellcraft can range from minor discomfort to full on seizures depending on the magnitude of the spell, the flip-side of this being that Harmful spellcraft reacts poorly as well. A Fireball may end in the removal of hair, clothing, weapons, but leave the man unharmed or cause vicious blistering. It's not something he's tested but through trial and error one things remain true: Magic hasn't killed him.

  Mortimer spent some time as a local woodsman and ended up being labeled a Witch-doctor, he'd set markers in the trees to warn where the dangerous animals dwelt and where it was safe. The locals took it as witchery, so he used his knowledge of the woods and herbs to sell them poultices and other 'magical healing salves' that were just simple knowledge.

  A dimly luminescent infinity knot runs from his left wrist to elbow by way of the forearm, cored in crimson and blending with blue towards the edges. It would keep pace with his heart on most occasions the red and blue appeared to bleed into each other to create an ebbing area of purple.
