  He was not a bird, though the officer had earned the nicknames of 'Falcon,' and on occasion, 'Vulture.'
  A body once destroyed had been reconstructed from brass and steel, crafted to give the illusion that he was indeed avian;
  adding to this effect, the four white, swanlike wings that extended from his back, and white plumes that cascaded down from beneath the curious beaked 'mask' that adorned his scarred face.
  Arrogant and cold were two words commonly used to describe him, as he seemed to behave as if he cared for none but himself at times.
  He normally wore a dull blue royal navy uniform, complete with jabot, and extravagant feathered hat on occasion. A
  competent fighter, as betrayed by the rapier that he carried.

• Biography

  Suffering.
  D'cordial knew that word as if it was a personal nemesis.
  He had seen it, and he had felt it,
  He had seen dreams crushed to dust and heard the thunder of war.
  It had taken everything from him.
  He donned a mask, and hoped that the world would love it's cold,
  gold facade more than he loved what lay beneath.
  The mask was beautiful. The mask was elegant.
  It had the confidence and charisma to carry him to great heights,
  as the broken man beneath it suffered in silent anguish.
  The facade had brought him fame, the power of rank, wealth,
  and the admiration of the fickle,
  but it could not replace what had been lost...
  
  
  Ariston was often times a hard puzzle to figure out; likely because it was
  missing so many pieces. He had the mannerisms expected of a high ranking officer, and yet at times his nature seemed
  to go from polite and friendly, to cruel and heckling at the drop of a hat. He would often ramble about nothing, and spend long hours staring out at the sea...
  It was rare for him to sleep, and even rarer that you'd see him eat anything.
  He loved children, and was most always polite to women, no matter their social status.
  He also seemed to have a massive obsession with birds - He collected birds
  from all over the world during his deployment, and owned an impressive aviary.
  Most of the time he was approachable and social, not harboring the bitterness
