In the setting that I initially made Jas for, there are odd powers that people call 'Switches'. Ergo, Jas is part of these Macht-Switch users that utilise their powers. Unfortunately for Jas, the position he is in causes him to be in the centre of a debate between the Government and Anarchists.
‣ BASE SWITCH: White Noise
The base switch of White Noise helps Jas in more ways than just one, however, the main use is for communication in important matters that he feels he needs more than just a sign or sign language. In other cases, White Noise has also helped Jas to listen in and hear better than most, being able to effectively eavesdrop on people at certain times. Other than that, Jas is actually pretty reluctant to use his White Noise abilities for the sole reason that it brings back terrible memories that he would rather forget. In the case of his severe depression that results of his White Noise, Jas has oft times heard the phrase 'why?' in his sister's voice as if it were being whispered into his ear, soon drowned out by static in the case of his moments of his emotional lows.
‣ RELIC SWITCH: Nosferatu
Nosferatu... the ability is intriguing Jas for the most part, though he sees it as somewhat trivial. Jas keeps it close in order to fell those he finds as obstacles, or at least in his way. However, this is a little useless, as Jas' own silence and need to use sign language acts as a barrier to some as he pretends to be deaf in some situations. However, since Jas also dislikes being in contact with people, physically, Nosferatu comes in handy when he would rather not cause too much of a ruckus in swatting one's hand away, or even finding himself in a planned fist fight. In short, Jas picked up Nosferatu in order to help protect himself and those he comes into contact with because he does not want a repeat of what happened with his White Noise abilities.
