You ever see a dog walking itself with a leash? What about throwing it's own ball? Howly is an adorable yet often times intimidating sight. Once you get past the fact that he's a wolf and he drops an insanely gross, slobber covered ball into your hand, you realize he's pretty damn docile. It comes with the territory of inhabiting a human mind for the last ten plus years.

He wasn't born with the name Howly, but he made best friends with a drunk man at a bar during one of his take-over-the-body strolls through the city. The man shared french fries with him, with the only request being that he 'talk' to him, so Howly earned his name and a whole bucket of fries that night. He's never really complained about it before, and he definitely complains a lot to Domitus.

Howly has his own thoughts, feelings, and desires alongside Domi's. He's an unfortunate captive sharing a body with a drunk sad boy who doesn't have a lot of will to live. Despite his flaws, though, Howly loves Domi and does everything in his power to keep him safe, including but not limited to forcing a shift and chasing off men who Domi would otherwise let abuse him, dragging their body out of bars, and occasionally mauling someone that Domi picked a fight with.

Soul Bond
Howly was born a real wolf, wandering around in the wilds. When he was shot and killed near Domitus, his soul began it's ascent to wherever it was destined to go, but made a confused pit stop. Because Domitus had werewolf blood, his soul reached out and clung to Howly's, drawing it in. The two souls circled one another for a while, slowly forming a bond. Eventually, the two became inseparable.

Communication
Howly shares Domitus' mind, and as such they share thoughts. Howly is occasionally more dormant than other times, but usually he acts as Domi's very judgy, very concerned conscience. Howly cannot project thought into words, but he and Domi can understand each other clearly.

Transformation
Domitus is not technically a werewolf- he's a shifter. The moon does not dictate when he transforms. Domitus can technically do it at will, though he does occasionally forget to let Howly out despite the wolf constantly yelling at him about it. Sometimes, Domi's will is weak enough to allow Howly to force Domi to allow him to take over control. These shifts can last for days, sometimes even a week or more, until Howly has decided he had his fill of running around doing whatever he wants to do and relinquishes control. Sometimes, he feels better after a run through the park. Other times, he eats every left shoe that Domitus owns.
