Creator of life, Father of all, Eater of worlds; Moloch is the one and only idol in Gehenna. It was he who created his wife, Oros, the earth, and it was he who filled her to bursting with life. Oros, blind with her love, gives these children to their father for him to devour. An endless cycle of blood, sex, and hunger kept the lovers quite content for years, until two of their children escaped the jaws of their mighty creator. They hid themselves in the darkest corners of Oros, avoiding the Idol's eye as he pursued them. In his rage, Moloch ravaged the fertile lands of his wife, his mighty teeth tore deep scores into Oros' mountains, his nails raking canyons across her terrestrial flesh, sweet water poured from her wounds. The two survivors, sister and brother, hid away from the seeking eyes of their life givers, until they too had grown old enough to give life. From two, came five, the very day the Idol found these betrayers. The siblings begged forgiveness from their heavenly father, and offered up their children in place of themselves. Moloch, wrathful in all aspects chose to spare his children in return for their offspring, greedily devouring the infants before he turned to gaze upon them, uttering words the Family lives by this very day. "Feed me, my children, and you will live another day; appease me, and you will survive." -

Gehenna's logs
///Before you open the diary that looks as if it were made from animal hides, you notice there are scribbles etched on the face of it. As though somebody were trying to write their name, but with very poor penmanship. You can make out an S here and an M there, this 'name' was on the bottom of a list of previous owners. It seems this book has been passed down each generation.
The beginning of the logbook only seemed to include random smiley faces drawn throughout the book. Previous owners were more serious when logging, the current carrier did not see to things their way. Besides this, you also see little tally marks that happen to be beside the date of an upcoming month. The months with no tally marks were crossed out and underlined darkly. The word 'human' or 'animal' besides each tally. Feathers were intertwined in the actual pages to use as a primitive type of bookmark.
Coming towards the end of the book, you notice pages have been added crudely to the object. Phases of each moon cycle were illustrated precisely on the very back of the book. The current handler was not able to formulate this, so you take it the previous owners had.
Leaning closer to get a better look at this logbook, you notice all of the scrawled prints were a deep red... Is this blood?
