Lost in the Mail
Luca was 15 when his father decided to send him away. Based on his troubled behavior and impulsive decisions his father was the one to return the favor, by sending him away from everything he knew and loved in New York City.
Luckily for him he knew his way around people, making his stay far more pleasant than expected. Clever, charming, and with great interest in litterature, he had nothing against this sudden sojourn. This might have even been a breath of fresh air for him; not having to move every other month. He didn't have to worry about making actual friends anymore. He was able to stay. And this is where he et her.
Carson Faulkner, Cara. Absolutely intrigued by her at first sight. Not only was he held by her beauty and smile, but her way of thinking was remarkable in countless ways. Swept off his feet, and mesmerized by her way of standing out from the crowd. Once they started talking, something clicked. They both had so much to offer each other, new views on life, fair share of experience, and they might even have shared new experiences as well. Even though Luca doesn't do magic, their developing relationship is only to be described as "magical". Until she disappeared.
Cara's parents did not approve of their intimacy. He was nothing but a distraction. They knew what he came from, they read about his scandals. Luca was no good for their beloved Carson. However, Carson begged to differ. Before she left for good, a small note was left under Luca's doormat with the address of the Faulkners. For years they sent each other letters, talking about their lives, longing for each other, well-knowingly this wouldn't last forever. But why stop?

Cara stopped receiving letters, while Luca kept writing and doing what he did best, nothing came in return. Both left alone with nothing but broken hearts. For a year Luca kept sending letters, digging a hole deeper for his depression to come. The letters were found by Cara's parents, hidden from her for her own good. Some were burned, others kept in a box by Cara's mother, None of them left in the hands of Carson Faulkner. None.

Angelic Silhouette
A story about an angelic silhouette.
She looked human from a distance. Appeared just whenever. No pattern, no voice, yet somehow her story was told by just looking at her. She was near death once, now she's near death everyday by choice. Trying to escape the pain in any way possible.
Countless times she's appeared before Luca's eyes, but it's all like a fever dream. All and nothing seems quite right. She feels right, as if she's telling him something. Sometimes she's there every night, sometimes not at all, sometimes just once in a couple of months, but it always seem to be near another blackout. What does it mean? Who is she? What does she want?
Her face seems familiar, but her traits are someone else's. Why is she here? Why is he there? For years they've been there for each other when most needed, might they be some sort of Angel? Can't be. They're both some sort of fallen angel dragging each other down into nothing... Or everything? Did they go from nothing to something? Where were they after all?
"We meet in a blackout,
perhaps this will be the end?
... or the beginning?"
Valerie Thompson, the face of this girl, was the last person Luca saw, before he drove off the cliff into his own death. This was the end of him. To Valerie this was her beginning. She saw him die, heard his crash. A tear dropped from her eye, not for trauma but for him.
She knew him somehow after all. She knew his struggles.
To honor him she survived, she recovered and found new life. A story she rarely tells anyone, but a significant story for her own survival.
