Personality: He is smart ass, openly blunt when speaking to others, believes he is smarter than others around him, but he does have a soft side that he doesn't show to others. Talks down to people that he doesn't know. Doesn't trust really easily either. He feels like working alone is the best and safe bet. Sometimes he takes things really personally. Feeling like he has to save everyone from themselves. Gets really disappointed and sometimes drinks his cares away when he doesn't get a chance to save someone. Whether it be from themselves, from death or even just saving them from turning into someone they don't want to. Keeps to himself most of the time. Hard part is, he can't turn a job even though he wants to.

His father was such a big fan of David Copperfield that his father gave his middle name after the man. He grew up without a mother. He actually never knew his mother. His father told him that she died giving birth to him. That his father had to take care of him. Roland never really knew anything else about his mother, just that there was a locket that his father gave him. A necklace that would protect him no matter what happened to him.
As he grew up, he started to realize that something was changing within him. He started to show signs of powers that were unnatural to the normal human. His father eventually told him that they were outcasts of the wizard and witches colony. That they traveled to this modern realm because of them being outcasts. His father didn't tell Roland what they did or how they came to be here, just that it was for the best. Roland and his father began to train together in secret. Hiding Roland's powers from the public and also the wizard & witches council.
As the years went by, Roland's father passed away due to a illness that no one and not even the doctors could even explain it. Roland was nineteen at the time. He struggled through life, trying his best to get himself through college but eventually he dropped college all together. Soon, he started his own business but that failed as well. Roland became angered at himself for what had happened during his lifetime. He became so angry that he started to dap in the magic of darkness. The council soon got word of what he was doing and he was called before them. Roland was forced to become a helper to the mortal world. The council told him in order to redeem himself, he must become a wizard for good and not evil. If he decided to follow this path, then he would soon sentenced to death.
Reluctantly, Roland agreed and was set up his own detective office. Somewhere hidden in an alleyway off the streets of New York City. Roland was forced to take on cases of the supernatural. Whether it be a human dying mysteriously to a werewolf being blamed for murder. Roland did everything. Now as the years had passed, he is still on the council's it list. Knowing that his movements were being watched each and every step he took. Secretly, Roland had started to like helping, but what he didn't like was the council being a naggy nanny on his back for everything he said and did. -
