Like the perfect summer's day, Evan is as energizing and inviting as it gets, always open to whatever, whenever and whoever, much to his occasional chagrin. sun's up in his smile, warmth radiates from his general demeanour, what more could you really want? but with that perfect balance of his character which makes him so loved and adored comes a certain fragility that makes him and everyone concerned so very fallible. To make it all too worse, Evan does not back away from conflict. Flight never crosses his mind. Stubborn about remaining strong; in the face of loss, rejection, change, he evolves and internalizes, even under intense stress. Passivity is his go-to in negative situations.   Unknown to the general public, Evan Mowinckel was taken from his home at age 16 for ransom and extortion purposes, or so presumed, only to find himself repeatedly tortured as a means of revenge of one Abat Joseph Adlin. Events unfolded as none could forsee and after approximatelly a week of blood-loss and torture by stabbing, Evan was shot in the neck from close range. The kid survived against seemingly all odds, but not by much. The two months he spent in unconsciousness, incorrectly described a a coma by most, his body spent healing itself and developing into a superior form, propelled by near death and his father's genes. At the end emerged the dragon, purified by fire and pain.

  ➢ Important additional anatomy in his draconic form: webbed wings.
  ➢ Halfway transformation involves only alterations to the mouth cavity. Draconic teeth and fire-breathing capabilities whilst the rest of him remains fully human.
  ➢ Fire-breathing. Has two hypergolic propellant glands tha ignite his breath whenever he wishes to use them.
  ➢ His blood type is AB+ as far as human blood groups go. Can accept any donor blood, but his, when given to a human in small amounts, cleanses the body of toxins. Injestion of it is dangerous. It may cause mucous membrane burns.
  ➢ His species mate for life, with one person as their chosen. While it has its pros, such as mental health benefits and fertility and potency with their mate alone, the biological arrangement can emotionally cripple a dragon who's lost their mate and leads to high suicide rates in the species.
  ➢ Immortality is Evan's best friend, even if partial. He isn't immune to any manner of instant death, but disease, poison, fire and blood loss don't endanger him.
  ➢ He is naturally drawn to expensive looking items. Unlike regular dragons, gold and jewels aren't his target and the treasure collection contains fake and tacky things he has deemed pretty or shiny enough to buy.
  
  

  

  
  Drawbacks
  Psychogenic amnesia. Undiagnosed. Kid's head kept him from losing it after that incident when he was 7, but the more time passes, the more memories mix and don't match. No one's there to tell him 'it's safe, you can look now' and pull him out of an adaptive turned maladaptive coping mechanism since it's a subtle sort of forgetfullness and few notice he doesn't remember all the right stuff. He has flashes sometimes but its like the locked box of memories spits out a few moments for him to recall and then sucks in even harder. Locking mechanism is broken lately. He keeps remembering and forgetting over and over. In his defense, everything just keeps falling apart.
  
  Proclivity for shock. He's been sheltered. What his parents couldn't protect him from, his own mind did. Inexperience coupled with plentiful traumatic amnesia triggers makes for a not-fun reaction to very high-stress situations. He just loses his damn mind. Shuts down. And cries as if it's the first time he's faced with situations of a certain caliber, even if that's far from the truth. Past traumas layer on top of current and he reacts viscerally before compartmentalizing and forgetting everything/omitting particularly upsetting parts. It's a basic overload drive.
  
  Anxiety disorder under development. Recent events are shaping him into a subconsciously nervous teenager without cluing him in on what exactly he's so anxious about. The list of things that has his skin inexplicably crawling includes: guns, sleeping medication, crucifix necklaces, italian coffee, 'baby' as a petname, sharp movement and the sound of grinding metal.
• First Memory: Christmas of '05. The tree fell on Kaizer. Constanze may or may not have pushed it.
  
  Childhood event that still affects him: Attacked in his own room at 7 years of age during a deliberate break-in at his parent's residence. The man was sent to kill him but not everybody can see that their target is a child and still get the job done without a hitch. The moment he experienced visible uncertainty to shoot Evan from close range, the kid took his violin bow and slit his neck open. Being in mortal danger opened his ees to the true risks of his family business and seeing so much blood desensitized him to the sight.
  
  Other such events: Seeing his father get passout drunk after a funeral. It taught him that even the people that act the toughest have their grievances and sorrows. Never judge by the exterior. There is sensitivity in everyone.
  
  Past failures that he's embarass of: Once hired a nude model to pose for him so he could learn to sketch the human form and a got a boner halfway through. The model was very... uhm... well endowed. First time he experienced obvious attraction to males too. Yes, his inaugural flight into bisexuality was with an ass naked stranger.
  
  Biggest disillusions from childhood: That they were a big happy family and alcoholism, self-destructive drug-use and sleeping around were typical adult quirks, not the signs of a broken spirit.
  
  Who does he take after; mother or father?: His father doesn't even know how he raised such a frivolous child with a non-existent defense reflex and even has had some doubts Evan was his because he looked like his mother so much.

  ➢ He's an absolute wunderkind with a violin bow; Head violin in an orchestra. Has practiced since he was 7 years old. Trying to learn piano via youtube, kind of alludes him still. Favourite pieces are Chaconne by Vitali on a violin and Quiet slumber on a piano.
  
  ➢ Can play violin and piano, sews like a fashion god, learns the lyrics of a song after listening to it once, can do a needle split and various other acrobatics. Call it a family gene, but he'll still be conscious after an entire bottle of vodka. Other hobbies include team sports, whatever creative outlet he can get his hands on, annoying his parents.
  
  ➢ 'The mark of the Dragon' is a brand of his own, marking allies that started out as enemies and have been put through an initiation of his cruel design to prove their loyalties. The final trial is where the subjects are branded: Evan's infamous earring, heated to red with his own fire and pressed into the skin of those concerned, to label them as forgiven and accepted. The resultant hallmark is a ring of red.
