Standing at average height, Avery looks like a normal human. There is nothing especially extraordinary about her, really, in a world full of elves and orcs. She wears a dark embroidered corset. A long black skirt reaches her ankles and is slit on both sides all the way up to the top of her thigh. Her boots reach midway up her calves and are clearly made for travelling, though still sleek and rather expensive looking. Often she wears a long black cloak with gold stitching.
Her figure is rather curvaceous with wide hips, perhaps even a tad chubby, clearly more suited to a lavish life than one of travel. Long lashes accent her bright blue eyes and though she doesn't often wear heavy make-up, her lips are usually stained a light red and curved into a devious smile.
A belt hangs off her hips with a sheath for a dagger, along with a small brown grimoire engraved and finely detailed, held shut with a clasp where all her spells are written and strapped down for easy access.
Perhaps one of her most valued possessions is a rather wicked looking dagger, and it is used as her focus for her spell-casting. The weapon is razor thin and curved cruelly, with the hilt fashioned and meticulously shaped for the perfect hold and to suit the menacing look of the blade. It hums with magic and is unnaturally cold to the touch. She never allows it to leave her sight and will often openly carry it or toy with it.
