Forum roleplays are the most recommended way to go about your challenges. In addition to the rules on the main page, there are a few things I should mention here. You have three days to respond. You should have been notified in-game already that there was going to be a declared challenge against your character. If you two decided to host it on the forums, each party has only three days to respond between posts. Once the allowed amount of time has rolled over, the victory will automatically be assumed to the last post.
Please, outline the main points of the fight in an ooc note at the end of your post.
Example;
ooc notes; kyte is attempting to lunge forward and grab his opponent by the scruff of his neck, while keeping his head down and protecting himself. his current injury is a bite wound on his left hind leg, and a scratch across his shoulder blade.
