  • A Bit of Thieving...

    HS5a3Gv.jpgSUMMARY: • 03??18
xt6trI4.pngAfter a bit of traveling with each other, Fate and Jenka wandered into the town of Berkton, right when the fat Lord Bannister was throwing one of his 'richest man in the vale' parties at his estate. The duo was here chasing adventurer's work, which led them to the tavern of the town.

cKbTDz2.pngIn a dark corner, a hilariously suspicious-looking person was waiting for them. With a hood on of course. "The Spider", as he so calls himself, introduced himself as a middleman between clients and adventures. He offered the duo a job to steal a Silver Raven statue, owned by Lord Bannister. He would be showing it off in the party that night. He advised the team to infiltrate the party as innocent, weapon-less noble guests.

4q68Fjp.pngMr. Spider gave the duo fake tickets to the event and offered to pay for the operational costs which included disguises but sadly not decorum classes. As they gathered info around town, they found out that the Silver Raven had a previous owner, Lord Loyaear. The Lord's family had to sell Bannister the Silver Raven to get out of debt.

Jenka and Fate decided to play servant and Master, with Jenka as the aasimar servant to Fate's tiefling lord. What a scandal!

d7Icvrx.pngIn the journey up to the villa, the duo stumbled upon a small goblin troop in the middle of looting a body. Having exchanged their armor for noble robes, the duo thought it wise to not engage in a fight. After the goblins left, Fate and Jenka examined the body further.
He was an elderly man by the name of "Songsteel". They pulled him to the side and a continued on with their quest.

o31gjFU.pngThe duo entered the villa without any problems. Upon exploration, Jenka met Alyce, a servant at the party. They discovered that Lord Bannister has a penchant of over-exaggeration of his deeds.

Jenka found Lord Loyaear in the villa gardens. Upon realizing that he is Very Drunk, Jenka gloated him into a fight with Lord Bannister.
EJbGEnJ.pngThis forced his head of guard to move from his post (at the silver raven display) to deal with the other Lord.

The fight acted as a successful distraction for Fate and Jenka to take the silver raven and run run run!

    CONCLUSION:
    • +100 gp (Reward for the job)
    • + Toothpick Sword Set, Fake Amethyst Jewelry (Both from the Gift Shop)
    • +2 renown
    • The anger of the richest man in the vale, Lord Bannister

    zmq92yI.jpgSUMMARY • 04??18 - 052018:
Best to avoid people for a bit till the bounty on them cools down.
For about a week, Jenka and Fate been on the backroads, avoiding towns and villages.
While taking a rarely travelled forest path, Jenka and Fate found an area to settle down for the night.

lmYVsSp.pngJenka murdered a bunch of cute animals for food using her throwing axe which hereby has been renamed to "bunny killer". Hey, it's them or us ok??

During the murders, Jenka found an abandoned cabin. When looked into, she discovered the cabin was destroyed, a quarter of it covered by an explosion of hot pungent tar-like substance.

Jenka made out of the cabin with a small research book (Theory of Relative Time Travel and Dimension Crossing by Emmett DesRoches), a loose-leaf incomprehensible research paper, and a vial of blue liquid. They discovered a note too, tucked in the research book (see Player Handouts).

After skinning and eating the baby animals, Fate and Jenka discussed their goals and aspirations for the journey ahead of them before going to sleep.

While dreaming, Jenka is visited by her Deva, as usual. However, after some communication problems, the celestial creature suddenly started to faded away and Jenka woke up to the forest at midnight and Fate gone!

r8wx0xa.pngJenka found the whole forest filled with fairies and including one trying to steal Fate's symbol of Pelor that he left behind (loving named by Jenka as "Jessica". Jenka also found that the abandoned cabin had disappeared from the forest along with all animals. Nothing but pixies!

jMvS2nG.jpgIn the search for Fate, Jenka found the cleric's clothing, thrown about the forest, including his armour. Jenka picked up the clothing but left the armour (since it's too heavy to carry).

PxC70u2.pngIn the clearing, having a tea party with Fate, is the most beautiful woman Jenka may have ever seen. She was pale and shapely, with elfen ears and short, white, wispy hair that surrounded her like a halo or cloud. Oddly enough, she was wearing elegant men's formal wear made out of tightly sewn newly sprouted leaves, still fuzzy. She introduced herself as "Thistle-Thorne".

She told Jenka that Fate and she made a deal which gave her ownership over him but she would gladly give him back if Jenka made a deal in exchange for Fate's freedom. She did not disclose details of her deal between Fate and her.

Terms of the deal with Jenka tho: Until Fate dies, Thorne will be with Jenka emotionally and spiritually.

Jenka accepted the terms and they were spat back out to the original forest that they came from. Fate has no memory of the incident besides a vague image of a beautiful woman. When they made their way back to their camp, they found their bedrolls in disrepair, discovering that a month and a half have passed in their absence.

The duo decided to head back to the main roads to head to the next town to regroup.

    CONCLUSION:
    • + Paralysing Blueberries, + Kelventari Plants (Foraging)
    • + Old Gibberish Paper, + Time Travel Thesis, + Bottle of blue something (Abandoned Cabin)
    • + Another mental companion for Jenka in the form of Thorne
    • + A heathy cation of forest backroads
    • - Fate's Chainmail and maybe some of his dignity
  • Name TBA

    SUMMARY • 052018 • 061118 • 073018:
Jenka and Fate met with some adventures on the main road and together, they made it to the nearby town of Greenfolks. The adventures told the duo that there had been an increase of goblin activity in the past month and that the town had sent out a call for adventurers to help.

In town, the duo talked to the miller, his wife, and the town mayor. They discovered the miller's daughter has been taken by goblins, the last straw for the village, hence the call for adventures. They also discovered that the girl who had been taken was Alyce, the maid who the duo previously met.

Jenka and Fate bought a room in the inn for the night to rest. While Jenka dreamt, she was visited by her Deva...along with another guest, Thorne who had made a little space in the corner of her mind. Her Deva explained that Jenka had passed through a different plane when she was in the forest.

rmvuJVL.pngyO3MHwH.pngIn the morning, Jenka and Fate set out in the forest. After defeating a squad of patrolling goblins (and taking their candy), two doggos popped out of the forest. This turned out to be a druid, Cedar, and his doggo, Oak. Fate realized he's not a fan of dogs after dog-Cedar attacked him beliving Fate to be a kidnapper.

Cedar explained he lived in the forest and was researching kolbolds which are small lizardlike creatures related to dragons. He mentioned that they might have lived in this forest but the forest has been overwhelmed by goblins. He gave Jenka a dog-whistle to call him if he is needed.

The party found the goblin hideout, built into a cliffside. Outside was an old symbol, a decaying ram carcass on a pink with burnt planks of woods stabbed on to its back in a sunburst-like array. Jenka and Fate deduced that it was perhaps made by the goblins as a symbol of their tribe.

After storming in, Fate lit one of the wooden doors on fire and Jenka proceeded to burn most of the goblins to their death. Jenka then met an elder goblin, Crispy, (and his pet cat-spider, Fries,) in the other room. After talking with him and getting nowhere (and getting pelted with traps) Jenka brought in Fate('s charisma) and the two discovered that Alyce has been or will be sacrificed to a dragon.
