  • The Rules

    1. These are behaviors that are not acceptable here. No godmodding of any sort or "Twinking". It may not be competitive (see rule #2), but if you don't put thought into your characters and posts ahead of time, that can ruin the challenge (and subsequently, fun) for others.
    2. Generally speaking, this roleplay is meant to be cooperative, not competitive. That said, players are welcome to decide how they want to play together in their own groups, but everyone must agree to one or the other before starting. Characters can have conflicts with one another, however.
    3. Be considerate of the role-playing mood of others. This means don't leap into a roleplay with a radically different mood without permission.
    4. Don't violate believability to such a degree that you give yourself (or anyone else) an unfair advantage. For example, don't create a character with knowledge of modern technology in a medieval setting. Stay true to the era as best you can and get help from others (or the GM) if you're ever uncertain!
    5. For the sake of this roleplay, you're lactose-intolerant. Avoid the cheese as often as possible!
    6. Avoid god-like abilities for your characters and any 'deus ex machina' behavior. The latter is essentially retconning without the universal reset button, and the former simply ruins the fun by taking away much of the challenge.
    7. In the same vein, players cannot invoke anime physics or hand-wave anything. Even magic won't work that way here. To be clear, the definition of "anime physics" also includes anything within the realm of superhuman abilities. Keep your characters' abilities as realistic and reasonable as possible.
    8. Remember, if you have any questions or concerns, please contact me via this site's PM feature!
    9. Other rules are subject to the players. Some may want to play collaboratively, while others play competitively. Some may play with dice systems, while others play freeform. All players in a single roleplay must agree to additional, optional rules beforehand.
    10. Supernatural creatures only appear around 25 BE. Magic, with the limitations of the Tears of Heaven, only becomes a factor after the early starfall on New Years, 1 AE. Prior to these two time periods, usable magic doesn't exist, though the Ethereal Shackles retain their mystic properties.
