Kronos squinted as he fell through the white hot abyss that some call time, he was heading for a city known for being filled with mutations. He was curious as to why, and couldnt wait to disect them to see how they work, and maybe even replicate their 'powers'.
Blackburn had just got done completing a mission and went back to his apartment to wine down relax for once ,he had been out of country for many months and wanted some time for himself for a change which is not a luxury he gets a lot especially with the field of work involve him self in.
With a final flash of white light he appeared on a roof, it was nighttime, he looked down at the street below to see early 21st century cars, pretty basic. He climbed down the stairs of the building, discovering it was an apartment. He walked through the halls, his watch glowing against the hallway walls.
I sigh, leaning back in my chair, staring out the large window in my office, overlooking the city. "I wish I didn't have to be normal. I wish I could just be a hero 24/7... But people count on both Leon and Ultimo. If I stop being Leon, then all that I gave worked so hard for will have been for naught." I stand up from my chair. "I guess I gotta just keep making the best of it." I snap, causing my suit to turn into my costume, and I teleport to the roof, and I walk to the edge.
Toni sighed and cleared the table in front of her. She hated being an underpaid waitress, but she couldn't work anywhere else. She turned and walked into the back, throwing the dishes into the sink. She pulls a Twizzler out of her pocket and started munching on it. She looked out the window at the city skyline. "There are heroes out there.", she says quietly. "And they're not you." Then she begins to scrub dishes while contemplating how much she hates her normalcy.
"I love this part." I take a step forward and fall off the building, plummeting head first to the street below. At the last possible second, I do a 180 and land softly on my feet. "God, I love doing that!"
I put on a black slim fit hoodie and a black scarf to cover my face as I open my door and step out in to the city to get some thing to eat.
Kronos raised his wrist to his mouth "scan for mutations" he whispered into it. A small green arrow pointed on the small display, towards a building that dominated the skyline. who is this mutant?
I then just start walking down the street, putting on my sunglasses to hide at least part of my face. I do have a secret identity to keep up, after all. As I walk, I do a quick test of my powers. I turn invisible, then visible. I turn my lower arm into a chain gun, then back. A lightsaber appears in my hand, then disappears. "Yep, looks like I've got control over my powers today."
I make my way to a diner and sit down at the table and look at the menu and ponder on what I should get." wonder what I should get". I say as I pull my hood down off my head .
As kronos stepped onto the street he whispered into his watch, "enter stasis feild #01997" this would stop anyone in 20 meter radius from using any mutation. He set off down the road, turned a corner onto an empty street directly outside the massive sky scraper.
Avery was already sitting at the table behind blackburn's going over her notes, it just didn't add up. It felt like she was working with pieces from five different puzzles.She signed and took a sip of her coffee. She streched, giving herself a mental break when she over heard blackburn, " You should try lasagna it's really good," she said over her shoulder.
"Well, I guess I should go on my patrol." I try to fly, but I don't lift off. "What the...? My powers were working a second ago..."
"you really think so " I say as I look at it on the menu. "I'm assuming you're a local around here, I just moved in so I don't really know much about this place I'm a foreigner".
Avery turned in her chair to look at him "Yeah its pretty good, and I'm about as local as they come. Five generations of my family have lived and worked her," she held her hand out, "the name's Avery, what's yours?"
"my name is Suran but you call me blackburn" I say in a quiet emotionless tone as tug on my scarf.
Kronos spotted a man looking very confused, he walked up to him. "Whats wrong sir?" If he was correct than this man was a mutant.
Avery glanced down at her empty hand, and discretely pulled it back. He said he was a foreigner maybe they didn't shake hands where he was from, "well its nice to meet you Blackburn," she smiled, "So, what brings you to our fare city?"
"I work for a privately funded company that branches out pretty much across the entire world and I really don't stay in one place for a long period of time because of the kind of work I do for my company, I guess you could say I travel across the world so I really don't get it have a lot of time to myself." I say as I drink coffee that I ordered
