About the World

  • Telaria is a hugely vast world, with not even half of it mapped yet, so it would simply take too much time to explain about every little corner in detail. So i'll only mention the biggest or most known parts of it. Every contient in Telaria has something in common though, The Elder Trees. They are found in every part of this world and is known to be source of life in that region. Legend says that the trees are the final forms of the gods that gave that land life. Hence why most people arent keen on what the dwarfs did to the Elder tree of their lands and therefor will mockingly call Steamopia as "The Elderless Lands".

Avalensia is techinally a part of Avalon, hence why the similar names. However it was renamed from an even similar name of Avalor during the peace commity, due to that their names was far too similar and Avalensia wished to remain as its own country, while still being in peace with Avalon. One legend to as why their names was so similar, is that the two lands were given to a pair of twin gods, sons of mother nature with the task of giving the lands life. One was called Avalor and the other Avalon, who split their ways to create two comptely diffrent landscapes.

Renok was a corrupted man of monsteruos appreance and ruled his land as the cruelest of tryans. However that didnt change much when Valerie's grandfather took over. He ruled over the lands with an iron fist, with the only differance that he ruled it in silence and solitude. He perferd to live in peace with his family and therefor didnt interfear with the people of the few villages around, unless they disturbed him of course. As to why he didnt change the name, to call it "Land of Vladimir" for example, cause he simply didnt care. All he wanted was to rid of Renok and tear down his castle so that he could build his own in its steed.
ThornFang: Family castle of the von Vamperias and currently ruled by Valerie von Vamperia.

    ~Tharador~
The land of demons, such as succubues and incubuses. Tharador is, as you can see, divided up in two by a wide river. It is known that the river was created by the very father of the demons to seperate them and keep them apart. But that has never been proven and isnt for certain, also its most likely just a legend that they have made up. Tharador is not only divived in two by the river but also between the inhabitants of the lands. Which is due to that half of them believe that they are "pure bloods" and direct offsprings of their all mighty father, with their blue blood running in their veins as unquestionable proof. Needless to say, the blue bloods are far more posh and cocky because of it. While the others, the "impures" (as they are called by the blue bloods) are very much the opposite and care more about family then about power and reputation. The purple city in

It is known from legends that Morria herself created and opened these portals up as she was lonesome and curious about other worlds. As well as that she is still out there somewhere and is yet to return to Telaria. And due to that a godess opened these portals up, no one less than so can close them, which is both good as well as bad due to that all sorts of people and creatures come and go through them. However there is countless of guards and knights protecting and staying guard by them at all times to make sure as little danger as possible comes through into Telaria or escapes from it through it. And with the guards possesing telepathical powers to some degree, that is nearly impossible. Also due to the mystical powers/auras of the portals, the landscape of the main island was alterd, in the regard that half the island were to be in spring and the other half in autum, always.

Alvony: A huge harboring city, known for its trade and black markets but mostly for its slave ones. Which is by far the bigget in all of Telaria and mostly visited by the Orcs from Orsinimar. They are downright pirates and will kidnap women from all over Telaria, merely to sell them as slaves on their massive market. Makeing them not only the biggest but also the most versitile with women of (and even men) of all kinds you can think of. Needless to say, Alvony is home for some (if not nearly all) of the very richest people in all of Telaria.

Wreithor: The prison island for the highly dangerous. Named after the very first prisoner called Wreithor, who was far to dangerous and powerful to be keept in any normal prison, hence why they built this upon this otherwise unclaimed island and expanded it afterwards for many more inhabitants.

    ~The Land of Exile~
As good as nothing is known of this island, whoever went to explore it never came back. But from the shore of Mirgana one can see this vast and dark thundering clouds/mist of black and purple that is surrounding and covering it completely. Which in turn makes many believe that it is a nightmare-ish place. A place no one can return from, no matter how strong or powerful. Due to that they use this place as the ultimate punishment, by exileing prisoners or beings that are too powerful or dangerous for any prison, even for Wreithor, to it. They do this by transporting the prisoner by boat but not all the way as halfway to it they put the prisioner in a small boat of magic and let it take the prisoner the rest of the way, keeping an eye on it until it is outof sight before heading back. Once the boat touches land it will disolve and turn into dust, thereby standing the prisioner there.

However there is rumors or more like theories that it is the land of the gods. That it is their paradise/home on Telaria apart from the one in the heavens. And that it is where they keep a closer eye on everyone and such. That the wall of smoke/clouds is infact harmless and only to frighten anyone from approching. And whenever someone do cross it and set foot upon these lands, they are no longer allowed or more of not psyhically able to leave due to the wall becoming soild and inpeneratable, so that they cannot return home and tell of what they seen. And if it is prisoners, the gods will deal with them accordingly, either by takeing away all of their powers or by turning them into a defenless creature, which is most commonly done if the prisioner is being a pest. This is something that many religious people of Telaria believe but whether this is true or not, no one can ever tell, or prove for that matter. However some prisoners do believe this story and has claimed to do all thoese awful deeds simply to get a ticket to the land of the gods, hopeing that he or she can either live in luxary there for the rest of their lives or have the chance to take the gods powers for themselfs.

    ~The Twin Islands~
This semi-large island was once ruled by a kind and wise king. He had two sons, twins to be more precis and when it was their time to rule, he couldnt choose between his two sons. So he gave his kingdom to them both, however neither of sons were happy with that as they wanted to rule the island themselfs and once the king was too old and weak to stop them, they broke into a war and divied the land into two. However with the kings last breath, he told them that either they would learn to share and live in harmony or neither of them would be the ruler of it. He said that he'd rather give the throne to the stable boy then to have them fight over it. So in agreement to their fathers wish, they split up and ruled each a half of the island as their own, leaving their fathers castle in the heart of it as both a monument to him but also has a meeting place for them whenever it was needed.

    ~Elvenar~
Also known as The Elven Islands It is a cluster of many small islands, which is known to have once been as one. But that changed when the inhabitants of it, the elfs, started to have diffrent opinions and belifes from one another. But instead of breaking into war, it is known that they used their weapons instead to tear the ground apart and therefor seperate themselfs from each other. Or so the old legends go. The islands are currently divided into 3 clans. The wood elfs, the dark elfs and the blood elfs, along with the high elfs ruleing in the heart of all the islands to keep the peace between them all.

    ~Meridia~
The underwater kingdom of all the water breathing beings, such as mermaids, sirens and so on.

    ~Steamopia~
Which is also known/refered to as The Elderless Lands. This vast piece of land was, believe it or not, as green and full of life, if not more, then the rest of the world. But the inhabitants of thoese lands, the dwarfs, decided that they didnt need the Elder Tree. They even said that their work as miners would be much easier and efficant without it. So they cut down the Elder Tree and used its wood to run their steampunk alike machines and contraptions. However it didnt take long before others came to join the dwarfs in the search of minerals and gems and before you knew it, a mechinal city blossomed there called Steamopia. This city is by far the largest and most advanced in all of Telaria, atleast as far as its known thus far. It is divided up into multiple parts, but not to seperate the inhabiants per say, but to instead keep the city orginiased and running smoothly. The largest piece of the city, also known as the heart of it, was safely built on the ground and has remained as such until today, mostly because it serves as an anchor for the citys other parts, which are all floating in the air.
