Rules

  • Alrighteh, so you guys must be wondering what the rules to this place are.

First off, there shall be no vile behavior known as GODMODDING or POWERPLAYING.
Simply put, this means no extremely powerful moves or abilities and no controlling someone else's characters without their permission.
I know you guys can summon things by simply using your thoughts, but remember, it takes a lot of energy to summon something, and the larger and more powerful it is, the more energy it will zap. Therefore, if you try to summon a minigun or something like that, then it will either kill you or completely drain all of your energy and you'll have to wait a while before you can actually use the dang thing. So, if you do decide to summon a minigun (please, just don't. Too powerful) you can't just say something like:
And then Maximilian grabbed the minigun out of thin air, still feeling as fresh as ever, and then turned the safety off and started blowing his enemies away-
I don't think so, Maximilian. You're going to suffer extreme exhaustion if you try to do that, so I wouldn't be surprised if that minigun of yours fell on your head, or at least your foot. Remember, the larger and more powerful something is, the more tired you'll be after summoning it. That's one example of godmodding: ultra powerful. There's another example and that's this:
And so Lucille swept her glowing golden locks back and batted her mesmerizing blue eyes, instantly enamoring all nearby men. Her beauty was divine; there was not a single man who did not fall for her luscious beauty-
NO. JUST NO. GET OUT OF MY SIGHT, LUCILLE! Please, PLEASE no perfect characters! I can't tell you just how much they drive me insane! I understand if your character is pretty or handsome and whatnot, but that doesn't mean that EVERYONE will be attracted to them, and don't try to get everyone to fall in love with you the way Lucille there did. No ultra powerfulness and no perfect characters!
EDIT: to help, maybe we should roll some die to determine if and how quickly the object materializes, and how worn out your character is afterwards. Eh? What say you?
On the note of powerplaying: don't roleplay another player's character without their permission first (give permission at your own risk). Basically, no:
Jacob was unable to dodge Edward's lightning fast blow-
    Or:
Edward suffered instant death at Mark's vicious fangs-
Or something like that. No instant hits, no instant death, no controlling powers (it's okay if you're character is telekinetic, but that doesn't mean you can go around hypnotizing everyone and forcing them to make you peanut butter sandwiches). Always give your opponent a chance to fight back. This goes back to the godmodding thing- your character is not invincible. They will get hit at some point, so just don't be like:
Mark's super speed allowed him to dodge all of Bob's blows and land one of his own-
Mark will get hit at some point, AND HE'S ALSO POWERPLAYING. BAD MARK.
So that's what I mean by this rule. Thanks for sitting through that part; on to part two!

Secondly, please try your absolute best to be literate.
You don't have to be a stellar speller or a grammar teacher; everyone makes mistakes and that's fine. You also don't have to write novels every time you post. If that's difficult, it won't be any fun to RP. However, I don't want to end up having to decipher something like this:
dan got hit by maxs sord and he fel ovr and ded and sed youl pay 4 that max
Or have to respond to something like:
    Rick followed.
Neither thing helps anybody. We don't need to spend time figuring out just what the heck happened to Dan over there, or how on earth to respond to Rick's two words. So please try your best to write more than one sentence, and try to type like you didn't just come out of kindergarten. Literacy will help you not just in roleplaying but also in life.

    Please try to be active.
I understand if you can't get on every day, but still, don't just post once and then never come back. Nobody benefits and we all just sit around doing nothing waiting for you to come back and respond to a character's question AND THEN THE GROUP DIES. OH NOES.
So please don't join just to join; join if you're actually gonna roleplay here and have fun!

If you have any questions, just ask me! Thanks for sticking with me through this, AND REMEMBER TO SUBSCRIBE! No- wait- that's for YouTube- REMEMBER TO HAVE FUN! That's it...
