Arterius

The City of Arterius is the prime and primer of rapid industrialization. Industrialization not predicated on Oil, Gas or Steam, but of the mysterious element of Aether that exists upon the world of Nova Angra. Aether exists in all three forms, solid, liquid and gas. Most of the time exists in a sold form that can be mined out and is relatively stable. Its usage varies but primarily it is used as a form of batteries either in solid, liquid or gas form to power the city and it functions. Though away from the city, power is very limited or non existent. As industrialization continues to move forward, so does the usage of the mysterious aether continue to move to realms beyond what it can achieve...

Weapons in Nova Angra is still dominated by swords, spears, maces and others like it. Though these weapons are able to be enhanced by infusing them with Aether, making them stronger, sharper, and/or have a special effect to them. Though Aether infused weapons are custom and tend to be a bit pricey.
Bows and crossbows/Ballista are common while aether based firearms do exist and straddle the line between what bows and crossbows provide.

Bows- moderatly priced, arrows easy to make and add for versatility depending on the type of arrow. Can be fired rapidly or single shot, however most bows struggle to punch through plate and are useless against aether infused armor plating.

Crossbows and Ballista - Cheap to produce and bolts are very affordable, but lack the versatility that arrows provide and are slow firing. Though they make up in stopping power and armor piecing. Ballista are much more stationary firing great bolts, typically able to rip apart most foes and are the go to defense for ships both river and air. Large hand held Ballista's do exist but are typically custom made and tailored to those who use it. Both Crossbows and Ballista can be issues for armor plating and aether fused armor plate.

Aether-based Firearms- Expensive to make and thus usually made by weaponsmiths on commission(Most of these smiths are controlled by the Holtzen). They satisfy the in between the rapid firing bows to the punching power of crossbows and ballista. They exist in pistol form in where it they are fashioned in a revolver style and are powered via aether based canister's where a traditional revolver cylinder is. Rifle versions exist either as single shot or in a shotgun variant. Single shot Aether rifles have aether cartages that are loaded into the breach, but both single shot and shotgun variants have where these rifles are connected to Aether condensers to give these rifles near infinite ammo, but at the price of having the user wear heavy packs around there waist and only be able to be used in Nova Angra for Aether does not exist anywhere else. These firearms can be shot much fast and hit hard. Though like bows will struggle against armored plate and are useless against aether fused armored plate. These firearms do not fire physical aether bullets but instead fire heavily condensed aether gas at the target at rapid speed.

Stainless steel plate along with boiler plate is the top defense that money can buy in Arterius. Though heavy and cumbersome, these plates provide ultimate defense, only being liable to how they are made and how they are used. Armored Knights such as some who are enforcers of Holtzen family are the tanks of the battlefield. With Duke Egon's development into Aether infused armored plates, Knights are can be a one man army thanks to there upgraded defense, operating now as aether powered- power armor. Though infused aether plated knights are far and few in between and can only be approved to be purchased or gifted by Duke Egon Holtzen himself.
