Welcome

  • d7ogcjma6gy.png

Welcome to the end of the world.

Everything is gone. For some, it happens over night. They wake to everything they know destroyed, devoured by incomprehensible monsters. Some wear the faces of loved ones, or coworkers, or neighbors, reaching out with hands a twisted mockery of familiarity, pleading and begging for them to join them. Some do. The smart ones run, for as long as there’s somewhere to run to.

In other worlds the darkness creeps in slower, growing like a cancer within the insidious machinations of corrupt politicians, or within the dank ooze of the forgotten lairs of long buried mad men. Only rarely is it ever noticed until it's too late.

Some brave souls are resourceful enough to resist for a time, sometimes for months, even years. But eventually there are fewer and fewer places to hide. Eventually the food runs out and the water goes sour. Eventually the darkness claims them too. I don’t know how many stories ended, lost and hopeless at the end of the world… Maybe you were even nearly one of them.

But we stand here as the last children of so many peoples and places. Our home now is a world between worlds, a place that is not a place. Maybe that’s appropriate, considering that many of us cannot go home to the places we long to go the most. We help who we can. For those who cannot fight, we offer refuge in Sanctuary. For those who dare to take up arms, we train them and make them strong again, and we become each other’s family, bound together by loss and sorrow and stubborn hope.

You have lost your home. You have lost everything you know. But you are not lost. We are here, and the choice remains… are you going to lay down and give up now, or are you going to show those monsters what happens when we decide to fight back together?

    Coming from Jcink/New to RPR?

Jcink has a lot of good features. I used it for years before I joined RPR. But it's also got a lot of stuff not to love too. CSS/HTML isn't accessible for a lot of people, and even the premade templates can be confusing to use. If you want to write spicy stuff, you have to pay extra, and monthly, that begins to add up for a feature that would cause your site to get shut down if you sudden stopped paying it.

RPR doesn't require you to pay anything to write mature material, as long as you do it in your own private groups and everybody involved has a fair warning so they don't stumble across it accidentally. It's got baked in CSS/HTML with a lot of cool features that would be hard to pull off even with the most complicated jcink templates, all completely accessible for everyone.

You can connect your character profiles, choose themes, organize things and float images or embed media without having to worry about if your code is going to break or giving yourself a headache to make a simple post. I'd say that's a solid win in my book. So I've moved over to RPR pretty much permanently, and I'd be more than happy to walk any newbies through questions getting set up here. Along with our Discord, we've also got a forum to utilize, so nothing has really changed except the fact that RPR is easier for everyone to use, not just people good at code.

So yeah! Even if you don't sign up with AotM or one of our sister games, I hope you'll at least check RPR out and give it a chance! It really is a neat little website!

Agents of the Multiverse, or AotM is a pan-genre, multi-fandom roleplay for experienced writers 21+. We offer rapid-fire, real time style roleplay on our Discord, and slower games on our forum here on RPR. AotM is accepting of both canons and OC creations from almost any fandom or genre, and offers a warm and welcoming community where everyone drives the plot.

When your character arrives, they can choose one of two paths. They can sign up with the AotM and travel the multiverse, a career as equally dangerous as it is exciting, or they can settle in as a civilian (or a visitor, for those already of an inter-dimensional persuasion) at Sanctuary. Or perhaps they'll bring something entirely new to the table! The choice is up to you, and we can't wait to see what you create.

Come check us out on our Discord or PM Jabberwookie if you have questions!

  • Gate Keys
Below are the gates to universes at the borders of our reach. It cannot be said what may be found there. Go with caution, and good luck.

These sites, servers, and forums have all snagged a gate key from the Supply Store! Having a Gate Key means that they get a nifty little ad space here for their banner, as well as a couple of other places. It also means that somewhere, deep in the reaches of their universes, there's a Gate open where one of our agents may step through.

These aren't quite sister sites, but you can consider them cousins, so behave while you're there! These games are all part of the AotM multiverse.

And if you'd like to hang our own banner up somewhere, feel free to use the one below and link back to us, or to make your own and send it our way! We'd love to see what you can come up with!

If you're looking for more traditional ads and affiliates, our jcink is available.
