World #52113 - Beach City Mission Status: Open World #52113 remaining hub was one of many Earths, one that shared its home and long history with a group of aliens known as Gems. Unfortunately, the inherent power in these beings means that once Corruption set into a segment of their population, it spread very quickly. When Homeworld, the origin planet of the Gems, was completely overtaken, the remaining members of its population fled to Earth, establishing a last bastion of resistance. Three of the strongest members of this race, The Diamonds, set up shielding around an ocean side town known as Beach City using their own powers. This served to keep the rest of the Corrupted out, and as the Diamonds needed no food or sleep, and little rest, the shields were successful in doing so, keeping whoever had managed to make it to Beach City and its direct surrounding areas safe. But the price was that none of them could leave or move from their stations. One moment of weakness would risk the whole thing coming down. When the AotM arrived, some of Beach City's residents went with them to a somewhat more stable life in Sanctuary. Others became agents in a hope to find a way to drive back the Corruption and reclaim their world. Some stubbornly remain in Beach City though, and reluctantly the AotM has allowed civilians to come back and forth from this world and even establish residence, so long as they understand the risks. Traveling beyond the shield is not advisable, and every returning party is always checked an established gateway for Corruption. Any signs and they are turned away, or held in containment if it hasn't spread too far yet. But there aren't ever any guarantees of recovery.

![]() Gate Status: Security Level 0 Civilians are allowed to come and go from Beach City, and even live there. However, it should be understood that this is not without significant risks, and traveling beyond the shields is strongly discouraged. There is a checkpoint to get back in where adventurers will be checked for Corruption infection. The Gate attached to this universe lets out in Little Homeworld. Dominant Trade System: Earth Typical, Barter Some still use American dollars, hoping someday that their world will be brought back from ruin, but barter has become a much stronger system of trade here. Sapient Species: Humans, Gems Human kind and a species of aliens known as Gems are the dominant sapient species here, though there are plenty of immigrants scattered here and there who had previous homes in other Universes now as well. Transportation: Earth Typical Most vehicles have been retrofitted with renewable Gem technology now, as gasoline is not easily accessible any longer, but the streets of Beach City and its direct surrounding areas have been well maintained. Warp Pads are no longer accessible and have either been deactivated or destroyed for fear of Corrupted Gems gaining access to them from the outside.[/u] Notable Locations: Beach City Boardwalk, Beach City Funland, The Big Donut, Buddwick Public Library, The Lighthouse, Fish Stew Pizza, Beach Citywalk Fries, Museum of Extraterrestrial Science and Technology, Spacetries, The Crystal Temple, Rehoboth Bay, Brooding Hill, Dead Man's Mouth, Beach City Woods, Little Homeworld Read the wiki for a full list of locations and their descriptions. Not too much has changed outside of things being a lot more crowded these days. The protective shield stretches nearly to the next town and the same amount of distance over the ocean. Flora & Fungi Typical garden vegetables, herbs, & fruit. Fauna White Tailed Deer, wild turkey, bobwhite quail, ring-necked pheasant, ducks, geese, rabbits, black bears. Since it is a fairly small area, hunting is carefully regulated and monitored. Live Animals Nothing outside of a few backyard flocks of chickens and similar. Other Gem Tech and Gem Resources, though Gemkind does tend to be picky about who they give this out to. They're more likely to fix up your car with their tech than tell you how to do it yourself or give away anything that might be reverse engineered. Notable Wildlife (Select to Learn More)
All earth typical for the most part. There are some mutated plants here and there, including an invasive, flowering moss near Dead Man's Mouth, and some crystaline infected lizards, but most are harmless. Hazards & Important Notes (Select to Learn More)
Avoid the flowering moss in Dead Man's Mouth in the spring time when it is trying to bloom. It grows quickly and can cover and suffocate organics easily. Anything outside of the shields around Beach City should be considered potentially Corrupted and extremely dangerous.
