Preferences may differ between player characters and characters only used for a brief plot/one shot roleplay. Pre-established - ? Limits & Triggers
Triggers Triggers are serious things. These are anything that would absolutely ruin your day if you happened to accidentally read them. You need your partners to be extra careful in not including these in roleplays with you. Please remember though, that it's also your responsibility to inform them of these in the planning stage. ⚠ No Sexual Assault I seriously doubt I need to spell this out, but any hostile, violent sexual actions against my characters is not appreciated. ⚠ Needles/Medical Gore If any sort of violence can be found in a Saw or Hostel movie, I don't want it. ⚠ Eyes/Throat/Wrist Trauma Anything involving eye trauma beyond the most basic description of an eye getting damaged/torn out I cannot tolerate. Same thing goes to slashes/cuts to the neck or wrists. Squicks Squicks aren't quite as serious as triggers. They may just gross you out or make you kind of uncomfortable, and you'd prefer to avoid them if possible, but they won't say, trigger a panic attack. Coming across these may just make you go, 'oh come on, gross!' 🦠Vomiting Please keep it to a minimum or a single phrase/sentence. 🦠Hair Pulling I don't know why, but I can't stand reading about someone yanking/jerking on someone's hair. This really only applies to it being done in a malicious/violent way. Limits Limits are personal rules you'd like to set for roleplaying with you that may not fit anywhere else. Things like, 'let's check in if our characters start arguing badly', or 'let's plan out the outcomes of character vs character battles before they start' would be good things to put here. 💭Arguments If our characters appear to be arguing in circles, let's step back and figure out what we want to accomplish out of the RP and work to get to that end goal. 💭Relationships Typically, I won't go for romance-driven RPs unless given a very good reason. For the sake of the characters I play, assume a romantic relationship is off the table unless we discuss otherwise. |
