About Nera is a sweet old lady who enjoys company and doting on others. She is often found in her garden, where she cares for her flowers and other plants like saplings and other local varieties. She sews in her spare time, making quilts and knitting sweaters for those she deeply cares about. Though she hides a dark secret, most wouldn't be able to tell that she is unhappy with herself, since she's usually so cheerful. Her werewolf self is often uncontrolled, especially during the full moon, so she takes care not to expose that side of herself to others. She prefers to be known as a nice person, not an unhinged murderer. Typical Appearance HEIGHT: 6'3 OR 14' WEIGHT:~225lbs OR 4 tons EYE COLOR: Right - sky blue, Left - green hazel OR Yellow/amber. HAIR COLOR: Stormy grey/black Nera has long wavy hair that reaches down to her waist, unless worn in a different style. It's a dark grey color, with some black still peppered in from her youth. She's unusually tall, standing just over six feet. Despite her old age, she still retains some muscle, seeming more built in her arms than her legs, though not in an exaggerated way. She has heterochromia; her right eye is blue, while the other is hazel. Nera is often seen in spring or summer attire, such as dresses, overalls, or the casual shorts and shirt. Her werewolf form is massive, standing at fourteen feet when fully upright. She's incredibly muscular and strong, able to lift immense weight and toss large objects like toys. The fur is mostly black with a grey underbelly; the mane is black. This form is mostly known for its sharp teeth and claws, though the eye colors depend entirely on who's in control. They shine a bright yellow and amber when the moon is full and Nera has no control over the beast or her impulses. Gear & Extras Clothes, shoes, some modern money in her pocket. A magic moonstone necklace that stores clothing. She usually doesn't have a lot on her person when she leaves the house.

 ▲ Super Strength Being a werewolf, Nera is able to lift, carry and throw immense amounts of weight. Even in human form, she can chuck a car with little effort. Her werewolf form can do even more damage, being much bigger than her human form. Think Hulk or Hercules in strength. ▲ Quick Healing Enables her to recover from injuries much more quickly than a normal human. A small cut takes a few seconds, around 24 hours for a deep laceration, and about three days for large broken bones. Cannot regrow severed body parts unless replaced immediately, and serious injuries to vital organs could kill her, especially if silver is involved. ▼ Weakness to Silver Objects Anything that is crafted with silver causes severe burns on contact and drains her of all her healing and strength abilities, leaving her incredibly vulnerable. Even something as small as a piece of jewelry will render her powerless. ▼ Full Moon Nera is unable to control her werewolf form under the full moon, making her aggressive, violent and hungry. Some could use this to their advantage. History Being a few millennia old, Nera has a lengthy history that cannot all be written here. However there are a few highlights that are noteworthy to her character, which I will touch upon here. Nera was born in ancient Crete, during the last phase of the Bronze Age. She was part of the Mycenaean civilization, and took part in the trade market with her father when she was young. She was betrothed to a man and was to be married in a full moon ceremony, which was custom to her people. The month prior, Nera had been attacked by a vicious beast, and was rescued by the neighbors who lived nearby. The month after was the wedding, which ended in blood and violent exile from the village due to her transformation into a monster herself. This began her search for a cure, which still drives her to this day. She's been known to frequent outskirts of cities and villages, unwilling to be too close to people as a whole because of her condition. Her travels have taken her through all of Greece, Europe and even the Americas. Nera saw a multitude of historic events during that time, including notable volcanic eruptions like Pompeii, the 'discovery' of new land, and the rise of industry. She even took part in the exploration of the wild west. Nera is currently in Sanctuary, having come through a portal that appeared suddenly in her garden. She has no idea where she is or whether her world is still where she left it. Her motivation is to get back home, if she can. |
