Coming from a small town in Oklahoma, he grew up in a rural environment before escaping his tiny town and joining the military. He has extensive combat experience, specializing in multiple forms of martial arts from Judo to Tae Kwon Do. He is a hand-to-hand fighting expert who refuses to stay down. His past is shaded with darkness and sin that he is trying to put far behind him, and in recent years, he has joined a crew to right some of those wrongs. He worked as his crew's designated Hitter, providing back-up and protection while his team pulls off convoluted schemes to take down the worst of the worst. Though he is on the shorter side, he is a solid mass of muscle, sturdily built with a toned body. He has blue eyes and long brown hair that he will sometimes throw up into a half-bun. He has short stubble for facial hair, and has small scars all over his body, noticeable ones being one over his lip and one over his left eyebrow. He's in top physical shape and his scars tell a lifetime story of intense combat and more than his fair share of fistfights. Eliot dresses casually, but practically. He always wears comfortable shoes he can run in, and wears basic graphic t-shirts and jeans. Typical clothing includes a sports coat and leather bracelets and other similar masculine jewelry. Gear & Extras Eliot doesn't do weapons, at least not in the traditional sense. He doesn't carry anything on him, electing to use his fists or any improvised weapons in reach. The only thing he keeps on him is his phone, which has limited uses in the multiverse.

Abilities & Weaknesses ⋗ Combat Expert Eliot is a Retrieval Specialist, and he is damn good at his job. He has extensive training in multiple forms of hand-to-hand combat and he is more than capable of taking on a group of goons all at once. He strikes fast and relentlessly, delivering each punch and kick with devastating efficacy. He's very good with knives and can use a wide array of improvised weapons, everything from a 2x4 to a crowbar to office chairs, Eliot will use everything and anything to get the upper hand. ⋗ Battle Hardened Eliot is a guy who just won't quit. He's in top physical shape and he can take an absolute beating before going down, able to fight through the pain of broken bones and bullets if he must. He can endure far more than a typical person thanks to his military background, both in terms of physical punishment and psychological trauma. He's trained in resisting torture and has incredible mental fortitude. ⋗ Keen Instinct Eliot has a keen awareness of his surroundings. He's incredibly perceptive, able to pick up on the smallest of details to sense impending danger. He has an eye for detail, such as picking out an undercover agent or noticing shoes and clothing to discern a person's training and background. He's a world-wide traveler who's seen combat nearly everywhere on the planet and can pick up a person's tell like a bloodhound can pick up a scent. As Eliot always says, "It's a very distinct trait." ⋗ A Grab Bag of Tricks Eliot has a wide, eclectic variety of skills. He's a phenomenal cook. He can play the guitar. He can sing. He can play nearly any sport and has a soft spot for hockey. He doesn't like baseball on principle but that doesn't mean this man can't hit a home run. Better question is to ask, what can't this man do. ⋖ Flesh and Blood For all his training and talent, Eliot is still only a normal human. He has no supernatural strength or speed and he has no regenerative powers. At the end of the day, a well-placed bullet can put him down for good. ⋖ Tech Un-Savvy One thing Eliot never got the hang of was technology. He can fumble around Photoshop, but anything more advanced than typing a formula into Excel is well beyond him. He gets easily frustrated and is more prone to punch a computer than hack it. ⋖ A Bloody Reputation Eliot has done some awful things in his life, things he will refuse to speak of. His history has a long, bloody trail of working with some really bad people where he did something he will forever regret. And that past has a tendency to catch up with him, and he is a wanted man in several countries. ⋖ No Guns Eliot absolutely refuses to use guns. When faced with an enemy equipped with a firearm, his first move will always be to disarm them and rip the gun to pieces. It's not that he doesn't know how to use them; he knows exactly how to use a gun. But for moral/ethical reasons, he refuses to touch one. 
History Eliot Spencer was born and raised in rural Oklahoma, but little is known of his childhood or teenage years. It's safe to assume he got up to the typical amateur teenage antics, but at age eighteen, he left his quiet farm town life behind and joined the military. Eliot quickly rose through the ranks, becoming part of the Army Special Forces, also known as the "Green Berets." From there, Eliot fought in battles all over the world, everywhere from the Middle East to Asia and even parts of Africa. Suffice to say, he was a lethal, efficient soldier with a ruthless reputation. But war left him deeply scarred, and he couldn't go back to civilian life. He threw himself into the criminal world, working as a Retrieval Specialist procuring valuable items for the top buyer, no matter how shady that buyer was. He found himself working with plenty of criminals, one of which was Damien Moreau, the worst of the worst. It was under him that Eliot did something unforgivable that he will never be clean of. After that, Eliot stopped working for Moreau and became a lone wolf, drifting from odd job to odd job. That is, until he found himself under the employ of Nathan Ford. What was supposed to be a one-off job then became something more, with Eliot becoming part of a team that used his talents to take down the same corrupt criminals and billionaires Eliot had worked for in the past, including Moreau. With his team, Eliot found his place and people he could call a family. He worked with this team for many years, their work taking him across the country from Chicago, to Boston, and then to Portland. Then one day, on a job like many others before, Eliot suddenly found himself in a place far removed from his home. What started as a standard brawl in a warehouse took a turn for the unexplainable when Eliot inadvertently fell through a Rift, ripping him from his home and his team and throwing him right onto the AotM's doorstep. Though eager to get home, Eliot quickly learned it might not be possible, so has begrudgingly taken up residence on the Omphalos, offering his skillset to the Agency. Restless and still finding his footing, it may take him a while to accept the Omphalos as his new home. |
