Melekahikehio Origins:

This family began as a clan where it was run by three brothers, two of which got murdered by another clan (Puluwai) which sent the third brother on a revenge spree, taking out several members of a rival clan. This led to a lot of fights and clan wars that stretched across the island of Olmeid during the Elven Occupation.

This led to an island wide crack down and wiping out of several nobility clans by the elves, prompting the Melekahikehio established a temporary peace between their family, that family they were raging war against and the three other families to work with revolutionaries to overthrow their elven overlords. Once the elven government withdrew and left the island to fend for itself, the Melekahikehio family was mostly decimated and over time secured themselves with loansharking, gambling and narcotic use of Majhilichite.

They appear to have no real power except over the desperate.

Despite this, they have an expansive network of debtors, and informants. Unknown to the other families, the Melekahikehio have began to amass a wealth large enough to challenge other families.
