Jaime Vasquez

[Work in progress] Strong willed and out for justice, Jaime was a controversial anti-capitalist activist in the late 80's. He brought to light a series of atrocities committed by America's wealthiest, most powerful individuals; from political leaders to television CEOs, he did what needed to be done to bring evidence of their crimes to the public eye.

His activism--sometimes nonviolent, sometimes not--was almost always effective. By the end of it he had brought a number of corrupt figures down from their positions of power.

In the end, however, he was only one man, going up against forces far beyond his control. His name became well known and increasingly controversial, and upper class resentment for him grew. At the end of his activism career he was homeless on the streets of Seattle, and he froze to death in his sleep one winter night.

Still, he had dedicated his life to removing evil from the world, and the angels had taken notice of him. They accepted him into their ranks, immediately appointing him to the position of archangel. For a while things were good, his anger left him, and he felt like he could finally rest. But power corrupts, and the angels were nothing if not powerful. He was quick to notice the corruption around him, and just as quick to bring it to light with just as much passion as he had on Earth.

Jaime fell, punished for his disruption of the pristine image the angels presented. He found himself in hell, his wings torched by infernal fire and his halo stripped of it's heavenly light.

Scorned and once again betrayed by the power that promised to protect him, he adopted a new mindset: the lives and souls of the corrupt were not worth preserving. He took to tearing his way through hell, ripping apart the demons that had once been evil souls on Earth until he was powerful enough to face the Prince of his realm.

He overthrew him, taking his place. [Work in progress]
