  Tales tell of the great dragon Ark'halez whose desires went above and beyond that of her kin.
  Not satisfied by a life wasted away by growing old and lazy, content with whatever treasures she might have hoarded, Ark'halez sought to achieve divinity. A dragon's lifetime of studying, combined with centuries of planning and logistics saw Ark'halez' dream nearing completion. In her pride the dragon had missed one vital point, however; the gods whose ranks she wished to join.
  
  During the apex of the final ritual, they cursed Ark'halez. In the end she did achieve immortality, but not in the way she had hoped. As she soared through the sky in agony at the backfiring ritual, flesh and scales were torn from her and replaced by earth and rock. Her skeletal maw forever frozen in roaring agony now serves as the city's main bazaar and great hall. Her ribs protrude from the face of the city, forming colossal spires that serve as the towers in which the upper class resides. Her tail, twisted, stretched and flattened serves as a bridge that, despite the city floating, can be lowered to the ground in a spiral to serve as an entryway.
  
  The city has roamed the skies of the world since a time long forgotten and of the story told here are many variations. What is known for sure, however, is that the native kobold tribes that have claimed the place as their home call the city the 'Old God' and claim that it speaks to them. Many visitors end up insane, mindless or dead. Ancient ruins hold their dangers, after all. Despite this, streams of adventures still visit the city at times, for rumours of ancient knowledge and treasures often circulate through surviving visitors or kobold diplomats.
