Dris's Tale

• Dris’s interest in Hume culture began when one of the wisest Viera in the Eyrut Village told her a night tale about a Princess. This Hume Princess had gone through much agony and strife along with her companions, one of which was a rogue Viera; who’s name is taboo among all Viera, saved all of Ivalice from destruction by a great and ancient evil. Jote, the highly respected leader of the Viera in Eruyt Village had announced, long before Dris was born from the MotherWood, that “this rogue Viera that chose to leave the Wood in favor of living among Humes must be considered dead to them all, she can no longer hear the Green Word and is henceforth exiled, her name shall never be spoken here.”
  
  Curiosity about the world outside the Golmore Jungle fluttered through Dris’s mind as she studied White Magic as an apprentice to Mijrn. Intent on finding out more of what the the rest of Ivalice was like outside the Wood, Dris eventually found out that Mijrn had been to the outside, and in fact had been saved by the rogue Viera that ran with Humes. Not only that but, the rogue Viera had been her sister. All Viera were considered brothers and sisters but some grew such tight bonds to each other that they vowed to live their lives like branches, all upon the same tree.
  
  Feeling a twist of new emotions Dris began to wonder if her interest in the outside world was a burden that she should let go of, like burying a dead leaf beneath the rich soil of the Wood. Should she let her dream wither and die or allow it to blossom forth into an adventure?
