In the world of Shadowrun, being SINless is both a blessing and a curse. Although born with one, he, like many others, lost it in the second Matrix Crash. Unlike many, he was unable to gain back his citizenship, trapped as a foreigner in another country when the tragedy stuck. Some time between then and now, after a series of events stemming from the Crash, the metahuman adopted the alias "Frank" and became a runner.

Fresh-faced, he is still considerably older than he looks. Such is the way with elves. He stands at an average enough height for an elf--6'5"--with a slender, though muscular build. He bears an angular face with striking cheekbones, bright brown eyes, and a head of ridiculously curly blond hair, often jelled up to show that the underside of his head has been shaved. He appears bereft of cybernetics, although in this day and age, many of them are simply better concealed. Still, his commlink pings him as "Frank Thompson". UCAS citizen.

Frame is decked out in plaid and skinny jeans, a look that anyone who's a fan of historical fashion trends should be able to pin as "hipster", circa 2012. If the shirt isn't plaid, the jeans are, or his jacket, even if just the lining. He often completes the look with imagelink-enabled glasses, thick-rimmed. His commlink visible on one ear.

He falls into the stereotype of the prettyboy elf--something his kind is usually made fun of. Fairy. Tree hugger. From here he pulls away from the stereotype a bit--wearing a sturdy military vest, and often a heavy coat. Occasionally switching his fashionable but comfortable shoes (chelsea boots to double-monkstraps) for something a little sturdier.

Lastly, when he speaks, his accent is thick and cheerful--and completely unexpected, unless one takes the plaid as foreshadowing. It's something like Irish, although the slang obviously pinpoints it as much closer--islander--Newfoundlander.

Whadd'ya at, b'y?

Frank holds undocumented degrees in Architecture (a Master's, and was also once a registered professional architect), and Renewed Hermeticism. He minored in Canadian History, the academic study of Shamanic Magic, and Mathematics with a focus on Chaos Theory.

He is self-learned and self-identifies as a chaos hermetist, with his strongest areas of magic being Illusionment and Offensive spellcasting, with minor skills in Mind-Control and Divination; he does not have an identified Totem. Although he has an interest in many different traditions of magic, his own spellcasting is very pragmatic and forward; he does not use incantations or gestures (outside of pointing for spell-direction), although he often uses Mizongyi to centre himself to resist the draining effects of casting. His ritual magic is very new-age and he often works with a 52-card-deck, and paint pens (or spray paint depending on the surface); he keeps a simple ereader for his magical learning needs.

Recently he has been initiated, and has gained some learning in metamagics.

He has work-job experience in Bartending, and training in Mizongyi, a style of Long-Fist External Kung Fu. With this he is well adept at meditation and centering, especially for the purposes of magic, and often uses Mizongyi within his casting as a way in which to resist Drain.

He has an unfortunate history in brawling and controlling insect spirits, and styles himself a "thaumaturge".
