Hesper

A strange, quiet man.. He was tall and as lean as a willow switch, and moved with a eerie grace that was only tarnished by the tension so often radiating from him. Exceptionally well dressed, although perhaps those dark colored, well fitting suits were more suitable for a funeral. In contrast to the dark clothing, he was almost ghostly pale, a wraith of a man with watchful dull red eyes. Those curving horns, and spade tipped tail seemed to be made of some near-white metal, and were accented with crimson gems. Hair the color of moonlight fell to mid-back, sometimes tied up to keep it free of his face, but more often left loose. Much like his appearance, his aura and very soul seemed an odd, contrasting mix of light and dark.

Hesper, while not insanely wealthy by any means, is fairly well off. His travel through various realms, as well as this one has given him a decently broad skillset. While he might not be as powerful as a centuries old mage with formal training, he is quite adept with magic and enchantment as well. A good bit of his coin comes from providing enchanted trinkets to others. He is fairly skilled with gold and silver smithing, and is able to craft 'mage-glass' which he uses for the majority of his pieces. He will work with mithril and platinum as well, but generally does not offer that unless he has an extremely wealthy client.

He is able to forge magical weapons, and even bind spells for defense into an item, although he typically does not offer that.

Generally, most of his items are of a practical sense, little magically forged spheres that provide light, heat or cooling. Those are fairly easy to create and enchant, and are easy enough to transport in his travels. He is also able to enchant clothing, books and otherwise delicate items to make them nearly indestructible. He could possibly generate more wealth by opening up a shop, or at least by heavily advertising.. But he does not enjoy staying in one place for too long, and he does not care for having an excess of attention on himself. So, he makes enough to fund traveling and to live comfortably by doing so, only putting on a more social mask and business-like persona when he needs to.

Hesper has been living in this world for around twenty years. In that time, he has slowly developed a taste for a wide variety of food. He will eat just about anything put in front of him, but he is particularly fond of green olives, sharp cheeses, citrus fruits, fish and poultry. He likes bold flavors and enjoys heavily spiced meals.

Drinks: He drinks fairly heavily. Vodka seems to be preferred to other hard liquors but he will take what he can get. He normally drinks it with quite a bit of lemon added.

Coffee or tea: He prefers coffee, brewed extra strong with a bit of sweetness and cream added. Tea, also brewed strong, black with lemon.

Sleeping habits: He does not sleep well, often staying up for days at a time. If he was human, he would not be able to keep that up. Thankfully, the type of being he is, does not require as much sleep. Still, he should probably be getting more than a few hours every 3-4 nights or so.

Healing: While he doesn't exactly regenerate, he heals several times faster than a 'normal' person would. He seems to have some resistance to many types of toxins.

Other Quirks: His hair. He is rather particular about it. He keeps it long and fairly well maintained. It doesn't seem to exactly be a vanity thing in the traditional sense. He also does not like anyone touching his back.

He is almost always a bit overdressed. Long sleeves, and often several layers. He sticks to dark colors. He has very little visible jewelry, and what he does wear is quite plain looking, although those sensitive to magics might note that the plain ring and even the simple hair ornaments he wears are enchanted.

Hesper is a deeply troubled and haunted man. He has many regrets and is harboring heavy burdens of guilt, self loathing and bitterness. He is struggling to move on from his past and come to terms with himself, and honestly even properly discover and develop a sense of self. He spent far too many centuries being one thing or another... Being what he was told he 'should' be or what he thought he was suppose to be. He spend countless years believing lies about himself, and despite having evidence that was never true, it is not a simple matter to just move past that.

There is a great deal of anger inside of him that he has never been able to let go of. Despite this he is not a violent man that is prone to fits of rage. He is also lonely, and craves companionship, but struggles to trust others. He does his best to present a confident composed and detached demeanor to others... but he does not always succeed. He despises being deceived and lied to, but quite the hypocrite, he keeps many secrets... Yes he's aware of the hypocrisy, and yes it bothers him.

Not an easy man to befriend, but should he form a bond with someone, he gives in return a fierce self sacrificing loyalty.
