• Description

  Average is the best word to sum him up. Nothing special about Indie really sticks out. Sure, he's got a nice face: big blue eyes, one could say handsome features... but there isn't anything that would make your head turn. Indie's just a normal guy. His brown hair is usually medium length and styled to flip up and he likes a small layer of scruff on his face. His style is a nondescript casual, tending to comfortable trends.

• Biography

  Born of two hunters, or so he's always been told, Independence's father gave him a ridiculous name and split before he ever knew the man. His mother gave him some hints in their short time together that his not knowing the man really was no loss and Indie has never wanted to pull on that thread. He was raised by Shirlene for a time, during which she taught him all he knows about things that go bump in the night and how to live out of the back of a car. He wouldn't call it a terrible childhood per say, but it sure wasn't the white picket fence and family dinners type either.
  
  Before Indie was ten, Shirlene dropped him off in a home 'for his own safety' and went out on a job alone. At first, this was normal procedure and Indie thought nothing of her staying gone for days. It wasn't until those days turned to weeks and shifted to months... He knew the job had gone sour but he was a child and wanted to hold on to hope. Friendship obligations only went so far and when it was clear Shirlene was not coming back, Indie was flipped out of the house and into the system.
  
  Foster care wasn't so bad to the boy. He went to a few places before settling into one, always being turned back into the state for being weird, or combative with the family. He had nothing against them, unless they were bad people, he just did not feel like he belonged in a nice home with nice things and self sabotaged. Finally though, he found a group of foster kids in the care of a basically absentee man and Indie felt at home. He stayed with them throughout his teens, growing up to really care for his patchwork family and fitting into a sort of fatherly role with them. He forgot all about the hunting life his mother had birthed him into and along with his 'brothers and sisters' turned their little slum house into a dysfunctional yet happy home.
  
  That was until those bump in the night situations started cropping up again. Indie could swear these things just found him and one by one strange occurrences came to his attention. Much the reluctant hero, Indie couldn't just ignore some supernatural thing pestering the normies, and usually decided to step in and sort it out. He much prefers to resolve things peacefully, but if force is necessary, he's got it covered. That's how he ended up on the road, traveling once again to find a place where the weird things will leave him alone. Except that journey has turned more into Indie settling in a place and clearing up the paranormal things before heaving a sigh and moving on.
