• Physical Description

  Vixen's diminutive 5'2" frame doesn't weigh down her confident bearing. She wears a white blouse and a chocolate brown corset with decorative front clasps that pulls in her straight waist to give it more defined shape. A dark green, almost brown ruffled skirt covers her legs from waist to just past her knees where they meet the top of high, dark leather boots, and leather gloves dyed the same dark red cover her hands to her wrists. Burnt umber curls fall loosely to her mid back, although right side is held back behind her ear by a fascinator of intricate brasswork embellished with black feathers that hint of dark green in certain lights. Glinting hazel eyes sharply examine her surroundings like a puzzle to be understood. A touch of dark plum lipstick outlines her lips at the front, lips often pulled back into a toothy grin if she's enjoying her drinks and entertainment and at other times resting at a slightly amused smile. Outfit is completed by various pieces of jewellery on chains, some frivolous in design and others much more intricate. A gold leafed timepiece hangs around her neck to rest just above her cleavage which looks very valuable.

• Background

  Quentin and Roberta Miles tried in vain to discourage their teenage daughter's interest in mechanical things, tried to steer her towards more womanly pursuits such as music and embroidery and preparing for a good (ie. wealthy) husband, but rather than have her interests suppressed the headstrong girl simply stole some money and ran away. What a hullabaloo she must have left behind! Such thoughts were far from her mind as she made her way to the air port.
  
  It took some effort and she experienced a fair deal of rejection before she met Britt Paterson, an airship mechanic who, amused by her fine clothing and strange ambition to become a working woman, agreed to take her on as an apprentice on the air ship Soulful Aurora, a dirigible brightly decorated in multi-colored cloth banners. It was hard and steady work, not nearly as interesting as she had imagined but satisfying as she eventually found herself responsible for balancing the gases and the applied heat, checking before each take off and after each landing that all the frames were maintained and intact, and the steering mechanisms oiled and in perfect working order. Some days she was told to take a break and she would use those times to mingle with the passengers, listen to their stories and tell them passionately about the technology behind their mastery of the skies.
  
  For fifteen years she kept busy going over checklists, doing repairs, and mingling with clients with hardly a break unless she was simply too ill to leave her bed. She also acquired a fair bit of learning about how to pilot an airship herself. Now a woman who had traveled so much of the world but never stopped to explore for herself, her adventurer's blood was fired up! Still, she continued to work diligently, content for the most part to do what she was good at.
  
  Finally there came a time that the airship's owner decided to sell and Mr. Paterson handed over her final wages. The amount she had accumulated from spending wisely over her lifetime was enough to retire on and she realized her opportunity had come, to not just hear about other travelers' experiences, but to become a traveler herself.
  
  With only one meager case of belongings she boarded a sea ship for the first time, not caring about the destination as long as it would lead her to new adventures. Now was her time to see the world beyond the air ports and experience life she had only heard about until recently!
