MoreLarentia looks nearly like other girls around her age, but only nearly so. Her eyes are first to give away her difference, even though they are not radically different. In pale gold swim few spots of the same color that encircles her iris - black. Around her pupil, the color darkens to calm orange. Expression in them usually a little distant, but observant and not unkind. She accents her eyes with some black makeup.
At times, she possesses quite different features from those of a human. Her ears shift, grow and relocate, becoming those of a feline. Her hands can go through similar transformation, turning into claws of sorts. Usually, in these changes, her hair grows longer, and whiskers appear. Larentia is guessing she might be able to have a tail, but is not entirely sure. Process could be very painful and much harder to reverse than the other trait appearing, so she has not experimented.
Her hair is soft and slightly curly, usually shoulder length half-a-mess. The color is coal black, except for some streaks. They are usually colored red, but if she would stop dying her hair, they would be naturally paler than rest of her hair. The strands first appeared in Larentia's childhood summers, when sun faded her hair out unevenly, and with each year, they have become slightly more prominent. For few years now, she dyes them or washes with toning shampoo that gives a distinct color as well.
Gifted with expensive jewelries and beautiful clothes, Larentia is usually dressed exclusively. Most her clothes consist of black and red, and she generally prefers slightly stylish clothes, however, will not stress if she can't dress like that. Jackets, tight jeans, platform shoes in regular wear. Long dresses, gorgeous jewelry when attending formal event. On the rituals, she is given clothes to wear and they are not always to her taste.
She likes to wear some forehead jewelry, it also helps to hold her hair back.
She is medium height, with slender body. Not much muscle mass, but strong enough to defend her self somewhat. Her skin is pale rosy and she is generally healthy looking.

MoreLarentia's color indeed is red - she can be passionate, emotional, just like how this color is often perceived. Or as richly serious as the darkest shades. And also sweet and caring as the subtlest, rosy tones. With certain longing and serenity, like rusty red. Only typical red aspect she lacks is anger. But there is always a spark burning deep inside her, it purges and urges her.
She is generally a lively person, looking at world with open eyes, always wanting to learn more and most of all, understand what she is seeing and learning. Between how she has been taught at home and school and her own personal emotions and intuition, Larentia is often confused and slightly lost. That's why the truth of things is quite important to her.
It doesn't mean she won't use the difference between actual and useful truth, though. Her future is depending on it, actually. Very determined person, she struggles with how her mind is fogged daily to keep on the right path - the route that will lead away from being sacrificed to dark spirit. Feeling very betrayed, she has become quite distrusting of everyone, and in her environment there really is no one to trust.
However, she is currently quite dependent on her intuition and if it would tell her - go with someone, she would. It has not failed her this far and it is her only guide onward. And deep down, the girl believes there is some good in every person. She will hurt someone if she needs to defend her self, but taking a life seems impossible to her, even if they would be considered absolutely evil person. With her past, her compassion has grown quite a lot.
Other than that, Larentia has healthy dose of self-irony and humor and is not a bitter vessel for dislike for others or depression.
Born in an ancient noble family's 'strange' branch, Larentia has never experienced life of poverty or starvation. However, her companion of many years is loneliness. The girl lost her parents early in quite the mysterious accident and has been in care of her uncle for most of her life.
Due to various strange features she could not hide as a child, Larentia's uncle placed her in a special, private school for her own safety and development. It was supposed to provide her special, custom environment for the child to be happy. However, all the adult in the school were part of a strange group called 'Hands of Rahkeer'. They poisoned the minds of their students, creating loyal followers of their deity and Larentia became the center of their attention.
It did not take long for them to discover her true ability to communicate with ghosts and spirits and she was announced to be the messenger between humans and almighty Rahkeer. Larentia was confused and frightened by every week's rituals that were often bloody to 'aid the information exchange', but when she tried to speak with her uncle, he never listened. Both school and home, the girl was treated generously, receiving various gifts, seemingly the sweetest care and all her mentors were over-protective of her.
As Larentia grew older, she understood more of what was going around her - both at home and the school. The spirit presence became more forceful in her mind during the rituals, trying to sway the little messenger into his ways, but she resisted. She began struggling, protesting, trying to force her uncle hear her out, but nothing changed for better. Instead, in school they started using mind fogging medicine and drugs.
She was becoming more and more a burden and the adults realized she would not be swayed to join them. It had not been the original plan in any case - her uncle had promised to pay them very handsome sum if she would be killed. For she was only thing standing between his dwindling household and all the riches of her family line that would surely allow him life he and his daughter deserved.
Slowly realizing the full picture, Larentia has been preparing for an escape, although she is still not sure where she will go and how she will survive. It is often hard to do, with her dulled mind, but the girl is very determined.
Larentia has been gifted with an assortment of various powers, but their origin she does not know, nor she knows how to really control them. Her intuition seems to naturally become stronger as she gets older, but the rest need training. The girl's best mastered skill is communicating with spirits and the shapeshifting she can do, but the last can be quite painful for her.
