Spaceships

The Hummingbird is a space bike - a small craft about the size of a medium automated drone designed for one or two living occupants. Its controls and cockpit are much like a terrestrial motorcycle, and it has wheels that can deploy when landing. As far as space bikes go, the Hummingbird is an expensive luxury model with a high top speed. It is also equipped with two small pulse laser cannons for deterring other domestic spacecraft, should the ship be attacked by criminals. It is, however, not well suited for combatting actual fighter craft, save for its evasive capabilities. Whilst in space, the Hummingbird is capable of deploying a defensive cowling that can defend its rear portion from attacks utilising other civilian-rated weaponry. Almost certainly, a shot from a military-grade weapon would be capable of cutting through it like paper.

The Goldcrest is a space bike - a small craft about the size of a medium automated drone designed for one or two living occupants. The Goldcrest is more of a cruiser-type space bike, famed for its reliability and popularity. It is one of the larger models of space bike on the market and is equipped with a single civilian-grade particle cannon for defence against criminals. Naturally, it is almost certain to lose in a battle against military-grade weaponry. The Goldcrest's defining feature is a pair of folding wings which are equipped with manoeuvring thrusters to allow it to turn at a rate more in-line with smaller models. One known flaw with the Goldcrest is that its particle cannon is located at the deployment point of its front wheel, thus the cannon becomes inoperable when the Goldcrest is being utilised as a ground vehicle.

The Microfighter is a small fighter stored in the large fin of the Avant-garde It is comparable in size to a space bike. Shielding on this ship is near-non-existent, but it does sport a comparatively large cannon that is highly effective against other small craft. The Microfighter lacks in any long-range travel capability - though anything larger than a human child might struggle to remain comfortable within the cockpit for more than a few minutes at a time regardless - and thus its sole function is to help defend the Avant-garde from outside threats.

A small, highly advanced long-range interceptor, the Star Dart requires the hands of a skilled pilot to truly show its full potential. Though lightly shielded, it is highly manoeuvrable and has a particularly small profile, making it difficult to hit whilst it is evading. Its weaponry is specifically designed for anti-fighter purposes, making it deadly against smaller craft, but ineffective against larger ships with thicker hulls. It works well as an escort vessel or as part of a ship or station's fighter screen, and also serves as a battle-ready scout thanks to its high speed. Larger individuals may find the cockpit cramped, particularly when sat for longer periods.
