  The early years of Sakura's life were typical for an Obrizusian with technician parents. She went to a nice school, had lots of friends, was given the best birthday parties. At one such party, they played 'matchmaker'. A harmless game where one child decides matches for all the other children. Sakura was paired up with Reiko.
  
  They enjoyed their time together as play wives and when the party eventually ended, they stayed in contact. As with many childhood friendships, theirs eventually fizzed out as Sakura went with one crowd and Reiko another. Until one day in High School.
  
  A group project dictated students pick leaders and design booths for a school festival. Sakura and Reiko had differing views on what their group's booth should have been about. Yet with every idea pushed back, a new better one came, the two adding to and improving each other's suggestions.
  
  This event reignited their friendship in a big way. They became the best of friends, always supporting each other and pushing the other to excel in their chosen professions.
  
  When it came time they were expected to be settling down with a spouse, they decided to settle down together. Reiko delighted in the idea of changing her name, so Sakura let her take it, having no preference of her own on the matter.
  
  They bought a building Sakura could turn into a bakery and turned the upper story into an apartment with a back entrance so as not to disturb the business. Though they're happy in their marriage, Sakura does on occasion go home with a guy here and there as does Reiko. They're both aware and while it's frowned on, they see no reason to let society dictate them.

  Ever since she was little, Sakura wanted to be a baker. She saw how much pastries and sweets cheered everyone up when they were down and wanted to be the bringer of cheer to the downtrodden.
  
  She worked hard, participated in every school bake sale, helped organize the desserts for all the dances and events, even started a small catering business behind her parents backs with the encouragement of Reiko, her best friend.
  
  By the time she graduated high school, Sakura felt ready to purchase her shop. The banks were more willing to give loans to married couples, along with a list of other reasons, she and Reiko decided to get married and take a business/mortgage for a building she named 'Shot Through the Bread', her future bakery.
  
  The day they signed the title deed, she went to the tattoo parlor and got a permanent reminder of her bond with Reiko and baking. A symbol that would be altered a smidgen for her bakery's logo because no one wanted a piece of cake with an arrow in it.
