• Description

  A leonine of the very male persuasion, carrying himself like a fighter that belongs somewhere else. Tense, large, confident bearing marred by annoyance, anger, and weariness. Just a hint of some madness hides in the back of his eyes. His hair lays across his shoulders in dreadlocks, three of which are green, wooden or bone beads peeking out here and there with tribal islander designs carved into each. The fur on his arms grew out discolored from primitive tattoos interspersed with scars from claws or weapons. On the left side and back of his belt are sheathed Kasurian-style hunting daggers, and oddly a femme's beaded tail bangle around the base of his tail which pokes through close-fitting brown breeches. A coin is in the front dread, tribal spear at paw and full grass skirt, he's ready.

• Brief History

  Tawhiri Tolutla'u, born to Chief Karnei'lei Toluta'u and his mate Nei'nei Toluta'u on the island of Tonga within the Tongan Kingdom among two brothers and a sister. Tawhiri was near the end of the chain of children allowed a fair amount of freedom in his youth leading to falling in love with one of his family's servants, Curro. While being taught to take on official duties and represent the Wakasha tribe as one of it's strong warriors he spent plenty of time chasing this femme that maintained she was below his station. Frustration led to him banishing her from the Island, thinking she would rather be his mate than have to leave.... this failed. Earning banishment himself for taking off after a servant and abandoning his duties the male followed his love to Kasuria, a strange and outlandish place for an island tribal. Finding his mate there he won her back after many many years of trying. He has built himself a small new branch of the Wakasha tribe on Kasuria, selecting members for loyalty or need. Moving from one guard job to another scattered up and down the promotional ladder for dedication and determination both good and bad he's landed himself on Kumu Island at the behest of his friend Makaio. His growing family now established on Kumu Niu Island he is focused on keeping them and the rest of the Island protected from all things that would harm it. Heading up the Kumu Niu Watch he's known as a strict yet fair bossmale that inspires loyalty from being on the front-line and running from nothing.

• What he's made of.

  This lion is a warrior and an Islander through and through. He knows how to use a spear, fighting knives, bola, claws and footpaws, as well as an adl-adl. Tawhiri has also mastered the various roars to inspire such reactions as fear, terror, the urge to flee, to challenge, to scare, celebration, and to make various things wet themselves. Another key ability for him is surfing as it's a display of skill as well as a means of traveling. With his extensive experience as a guard he's very observant, good with interrogation (see roaring), and skilled at analyzing situations.
  He's not very good at anything that has to do with magic, supernatural beings, religions, or other trifling academic matters.
