Introduction

• The tamer

  The young dragon tamer looked everything one might expect from his trainer class, from the spiky raven black hair down to the large waving cape that either trailed behind him with every move or was wrapped around his body for warmth and awesomeness. The main colors in his attire was blue, the color of a dragon's flames, and his cape had an added touch of gold in the form of flames and dragons.
  Of course the awesomeness wouldn't be complete without his sunglasses, which he always seemed to be wearing, despite being inside, outside, or even anywhere with a complete lack of sunlight.

• Character concept

  Back in Pallet town, where Jimmy grew up, the local kids often found themselves playing around the Oak research facility with all the different kinds of pokémon that lived there. This allowed for the children to learn about pokémon whilst Oak could study human-pokémon interaction with elements as unpredictable as kids. Jimmy was one of these kids and his obsession with pokémon grew so strong that he wound up as a junior research assistant for the professor.
  One faithful day the lab received a very special delivery; Oak had gotten his hands on a normally very rare pokémon: a Dratini. It wasn't long until Jimmy's natural affinity towards dragon-types showed up, as he was one of the few who actually managed to get the dragon pokémon to attach itself to them. Over time it came apparent that Dratini grew very slowly in the controlled environment around the research facility and when the time came for Jimmy to venture forth into the world, Oak chose for him to take Dratini with him as a starting companion in the hopes that traveling would urge the Dratini to develop whilst testing just how far Jimmy's skills with dragon-types would go.
