  Leta is normally a quiet girl, who is easily pushed around. But she is wanting to become more confident, wanting to be able to prove herself. She had a very strong sense of right and wrong but doesn't always speak her mind. In fact, she often seems emotionless.
  
  She tries not to let the way she was raised interfere with the life she is seeking, but sometimes she feels she cannot do something because she is female.

• Biography

  Leta grew up in the Norther Water Tribe, and raised on the traditions that they held; raising females to become healers, while men became warriors to defend their city. With no threat of war though, there is less need for specific gender roles, though they are still taught.
  
  Leta was raised a healer, since she is female, and has not been allowed to learn the ways to defend herself. But she feels as if she isn't needed by her people, since healing isn't as commonly used without fighting occuring like in the past.
  
  Several members of her tribe saved a fire bender one night, the male lost in the snow, nearly freezing to death. When asked why he had been to the north, he stated that he had wanted to find a water bender that would be good enough to participate in the Pro-Bending Tournament for his team. He had figured that someone the north would be brutal enough to work for the team.
  
  No one had been interested, at least, until Leta learned that the Tournament had a prize pool, and the winners of the tournament would win the jackpot, as well as the title of Pro-Bending Champion. The only thing, they would need to earn 30,000 yuan to enter, as well as find an earth bender to join them.
  
  Leta, after hearing stories of Republic City, became interested in joining the tournament... to feel like she might achieve something in life, and to become her own person, away from what she feels as a primitive way of life. She would just need to learn how to become offensive with water bending, only ever having used it to heal.
  
  She ventured from her city, to travel back to Republic City with Rakka, the fire bender.
