  • Backstory

    The son of a prostitute who sold herself as a daughter of Doma, Tahzah’a’s first years were spent in a brothel. Apparently, his father was a favorite customer of his mother, as she had the means to write him letters.

    Around the time of Tahzah’a’s eighth nameday, his father arrived arrived the brothel to take him away. He claimed his mother had requested this, and the two left for his new life on the sea.

    Luckily his father and the crew they sailed with were not especially cruel to the young Moonkeeper. After years of living as a cabin boy, he eventually grew up to work as a deckhand. He learned the basics of sailing during all of the cargo transporting, and eventually developed a love for the sea.

    Tahzah’a’s father died on board the ship during one routine cargo delivery. His cause of death could have been attributed to age, poor diet, disease, or mix of it all. This life was now the only one Tahzah’a knew, and he suspected his own would end in much of the same way.

    After making port in Limsa and meeting Cena, however, his options suddenly changed. In a matter of only a few moons, he decided he did have another choice in life, and that choice would be Cena.

    After the disappearance of Andilynn, he abandoned his dreams of sailing once again. His grief only led him to imagine the worst scenarios that could possibly happen on the sea.

    Tahzah’a thought Andilynn had been washed away that night. The rain had caused the rivers to rise, and she could have easily been caught in them. He believed this was his punishment for not dying on the ocean as his father had; thus the water took back what it was owed.

    Called to battle by Hydaelyn, as many others were, he died alongside his wife on the battlefield during the Calamity.
