Arcane Camden-Cross

Arcane Camden-Cross is a lying, thieving snake of a man--as much of a trickster as he is a pirate. He operates on the basis of no one ever really knowing him, deceiving whoever he comes across on anything and everything from his motives, to his name, to the very ship he sails on. Arcane is stealthy and incredibly cunning; and as good as he is at making himself a nuisance, he's even better at disappearing when he needs to.

Arcane is the navigator of his ship, but effectively serves as captain. He makes a routine of visiting port towns and charming intimidating sailors into serving as captain of his ship, spinning tales of his poor late captain and his crew stuck with no real leadership. He tells them all he needs is a strong, intimidating presence and someone who can hold their own in a fight, he'll handle the rest. He lets them serve until they outlive their usefulness, or until they get comfortable enough in their power to undermine him and bruise his fragile ego. Then he kills them. Moves on to the next town, rinse and repeat.

Everything about Arcane practically screams pirate, and he knows it. He has tan skin and dark, wavy hair that he keeps pulled back into a low ponytail. He dresses in loose flowing shirts and pants that fit well enough to allow for movement. Scraps of torn fabric form sashes and belts that drape across his body and stolen rings rest on his fingers, scuffed from battle and missing gemstones. Swords and daggers decorate his hips, all of a different country's craftmanship, and none of them his.

He's a slender man with long legs and an ultimately unimposing frame. He's not outlandishly tall, but there are moments when he looms over his crewmates or his victims and they realize he is a few inches taller than most.

He carries himself with a casual sort of confidence and a looseness to his movements that tells anyone who meets him that he clearly thinks he's the most charming, cunning sailor to have ever walked the earth.
