Joseph Blacke

Joseph is a rebel by nature, his long list of crimes committed against both kindred and kine extending to his adolescent years. He revels in the thrill of a good brawl as a true Brujah would; you would be hard-pressed to find him anywhere in public without his steel bat. He has a small amount of self-restraint - enough to control the Beast when needed. Despite his own grievances with kindred society, he still respects the Masquerade to remain alive and off the radar.

Joseph is also very loyal, sticking by the Anarchs through it all until the movement in LA's collapse at the hands of the new Prince. He holds the movement in high esteem and would happily defend anyone who still calls them self an Anarch in LA. Due to the Second Anarch Revolt in the 40's, Joseph lost a lot of comrades to Camarilla men and women; he still holds grudges against those people, clinging to the memories of their names and faces after all those decades.

Joseph was raised in the town Santa Monica after being abandoned as an infant by his parents. As a young man, he was recruited into the local street gang; they taught him how to steal, fight and use a gun. During one of their gang wars, Joseph was shot and believed to be beyond saving until a Brujah from the Anarchs took him and sired him for his sect's cause. Being Anarch, he didn't really give a shit about asking permission to sire; the sect needed men for the revolt, that's all that mattered and this one knew his way around weapons - he'd take what he could get.

Initially, Joseph was resistant to the kindred that turned him, though quickly came around as he found that their lifestyle wasn't that far a cry from his own; all around him were thugs, brutes and other societal degenerates ready to cause a little chaos. He became a staunch supporter of the Anarch Movement, leading hordes of kindred into the fray all while wielding a custom steel bat to make better use of his newfound strength. Now, he was gaining a new kind of reputation amongst his kin, one of heroism and bravery that he didn't quite know what to do with.

It's rumoured in the nights before he vanished from LA altogether, Joseph had a relationship with Rosalie Chapelle. It's also rumoured that it did not end cleanly in any way. Shortly afterwards, he left the city; his movement all but crushed under the newly appointed Prince's boot, he needed to bide his time and wait for the right moment to gather forces and strike.
