Tobias suffers from Dissociative Identity Disorder. As such, he has multiple personalities within his own mind. Below are only a smattering of some of the personalities that live within Tobias.

The Scholar:
A prominent personality, the scholar likes to be referred by his full name, Tobias Taluto. He is interested only in the acquisition of knowledge, whether of plants, species, places, or histories. He doesn't form any real connection with anything he studies. He considers it all merely interesting pieces of knowledge for him to gain.

The Blood-Bather:
This personality rarely takes full control, instead often residing as a whisper in Toby's head. When the frontmost personality, he demands to be called Tobathain The Bloody. He is violent, war-hungry, and likes to cover himself in the blood of those he has slain.

The Asshole:
This personality is often quite a loud voice in Toby's head, but he generally has the sense to not repeat what is said. However, when this personality has control, he is very blunt and abrasive. He's rude, crude, and does not care at all about anyone's feelings or what might offend someone. He has no care for anyone but himself. He prefers to be called Tobian when he is in charge.

The Gentle Soul:
This personality is a kind one. He is gentle, considerate, and loyal. He cares for others and tries to help anyone in need. This is the personality that likes to go by the name of Toby.

The Tinkerer :
This personality is obsessed with how things work. Even the smallest, most basic thing. He wants to know how everything works, and will ask a billion questions to learn. He is often found trying to take things apart, but he writes down how he took it apart so that he can put it back together again. He often takes things apart without permission, which can get him into trouble. This personality prefers to be called Tobert, and he's often considered like a child because he is constantly asking questions.
