Vakirek

Vakirek is a hardened soldier. He was taught the ways of combat since he could walk. Vakirek wields a spear (about 2 meters in length) in one hand and an Aspis bearing the crest of the royal family in the other. Sheathed at his side is his sword, passed down within his family for many generations. Villagers and other guards often regard him with caution, calling Vakirek the 'Black Guard' due to the black armor which he wears and the zero tolerance he has for lawbreakers and corrupt soldiers. Vakirek believes that a soldier must exemplify Honor in all things, Respect for the citizenry and fellow soldiers, Integrity, Valor even when all seems lost, Sagacity, Loyalty to your men and sovereign, Commitment to see things through, Temperance of one's personal desires, and Charity to those in need. One who cares little for these values or does not abide by them will quickly find an enemy in Vakirek. If one were to look past the tough resolute Soldier... That person would find a caring and gentle man. He holds within him a soft spot for kids and when not on duty, can be found at the orphanage. There here entertains the children with mock swordplay, telling exaggerated stories of his adventures, helping to prepare meals, and even bringing gifts on each of their birthdays and every holiday.
