      Glaceon was the first Pokemon Nicholas ever met. When a blizzard caused the car he was in to crash, he was the only one who survived. This wild Glaceon heard him grieving and came to console him. Through their adventures together, Glaceon helps Nicholas learn and grow, almost like a mother.
    • Staraptor ♀
      The first pokemon Nicholas caught traditionally was a Starly. Despite her size, she ended up being a serious fighter who didn't back down from anyone. She only grew more formidable every time she evolved.
    • Milotic ♂
      Nicholas came across a Feebass that was being treated horribly by his trainer. The trainer wanted a Milotic but got frustrated with how difficult Feebass was to evolve, so they gave him to Nicholas. Feebass was very insecure from all the abuse but Nicholas loved him just the way he was. With support and encouragement, he was able to evolve into Milotic and grow incredibly vain in the process.
    • Garchomp ♂
      This Garchomp was attacking some miners who asked Nicholas to capture it. He was able to, but it turned out they were digging into a Pokemon habitat and the Garchomp was trying to protect it. Once he discovers this, Nicholas teams up with Garchomp to stop the miners and they're able to get it registered as a protected habitat. Garchomp is by far the strongest member of his team, but many times he refuses to listen.
    • Chandelure ♀
      Chandelure has always been mischievous. Ever since Nicholas caught her as a Litwick, she liked to sneak out of her Poke ball and scare him. Other than that, she's a loyal companion.
    • Sawsbuck ♂
      Nicholas met a Deerling who had lost his parents just like he had. He felt sympathetic and wanted to adopt him, but it had trouble trusting him. With time and patience, Nicholas was able to win his trust and the Deerling became incredibly affectionate with him.
