  • Description

    Kassir isn't much of a strange case, They fit most of the qualities that you would expect from an Aarakocra: imposing wingspan, stark bird-like features, a draconic tail... Well, maybe not. Born of the passion of their Aarakocran mother and a Draconic father, Kassir is quite the oddity. A soft crest of plumage adorns their head much like hair on a human. Their torso and reptilian tail is lined with dark iridescent scales, and they have digitrade legs and feet, allowing them to carry things much in the way a bird can while in flight. Despite these very odd differences that make them a far cry from the typical noble-looking birdfolk, they are just as much of a force of good as any.

    If the story insists, human Kassir is of latino descent, their hair kept in a quiffed up-do. In both forms Kassir's build is a comfortable one, a tad plush but still very agile looking (as one would expect of an adventurer who was rather well off). They come off as slightly feminine in appearance, but their brash nature typically dissuades many from assuming any more than that.

    Kassir can use any pronoun interchangeably! she/he/they all work, so there is no need to be nervous.

    Similarly, Kassir has no real leaning on their partner's gender, presentation, or other factors. Anything goes.

    If your plot requires it (for romance reasons, I understand!) I can change their presentation on a dime. No worries from me!

    • Sticky Fingers!: Kassir is a very good thief when it comes to mundane to uncommon items, being nearly undetactable at picking pockets and nabbing items without anyone noticing.
    • Sweet Tooth: Kassir is overly fond of sweets, particularly baked goods of any kind.
    • Draconic heritage side effects: They can digest nearly anything. Seriously! This means rocks, gems, and even most poisonous things! Meager things like plastics and rubber can typically be digested as well, but synthetic poisons do affect them as normal.
    • Musical Afficianado: Kassir is adept with several instruments and sings quite well too! Some often mistake them for a bard.

    Kassir was born into a village of their own kind, an Aarakocran tribe in a valley hidden away in the mountains. From their hatchday, they were destined to be different, being held in an esteemed position as the future village guardian. They grew into their position rather well, their draconic blood making them more than adept at hunting, warding off monsters, and dealing with criminals for the community alike. Then the day came where things began to change and Kassir learned something awful: Their own lifespan vastly out numbered that of the meager 30 years (if one was exceptionally lucky) their kind was usually offered. They watched as their family came and went to the sands of time, and soon, their own generation went too. Soon, their own draconic blood was no longer a blessing from the divines, but a curse given by fate alone. As the village began to fade from the newer generation expanding horizons, so too did Kassir leave to find out what they were meant to be. Does someone with the soul of a dragon owe their life to defending others? Or does one with a heart of a bird use this power to find a future for just themselves? Only time can tell.
