Keanu Blackarrow

In her world, Keanu Sierra Blackarrow was raised very differently from other people in her time. Her father born and raised in the western grasslands where he worked as a farmer now works at a place where it felt more like home than a poorer area. His passed down his personality to his daughter. She has inherited his skin more, making her stand out from other elves. She is proud of it at times, because her mother passed down her genes to make her wonderful daughter look gorgeous. Unfortunately, to this day, it's unknown as to why she only glows yellow out of one eye, but she knows she can see through both of them. Given the name Keanu Blackarrow, she easily stands out in a crowd -- especially where she grew up. Her hometown was located in a torn-down marshland. Everything is black. There's barely any color other than the wildlife that wanders around and the bee-yellow grass they eat. It constantly rained, so mostly, Keanu was forced to wear clothing to protect her from the cold.

She grew up very close to the harbor where her father received a job. He was also frowned upon especially with all the rumors haunting him as well as his daughter. The family adore their only child for so long. For most of her life, she went to school where she was made fun of many kids, but there are other kids who shaped the way she spoke just like how her father was raised. Building an amazing friends' group, she sometimes gathers them around so they can play war games -- including one game where she pretends to be the Black Ranger as myth wrote in the history books. Keanu loved that part of her life, but she completely forgot about it once the town started to plummet. The elven child started getting berated by everyone once she got older, only to be taught the same thing over and over again. "Do it yourself!" is what they all say. Keanu hates that, but believed it to be true over time. It was better to keep it in mind, knowing her future was going to get very, very dark.

Around her late 40s (or mid-teen years for an elf), her family moved across to her mother's elven homeland. This city was great, but still, she stood out in the crowd. Like at home, she has been berated, but not in the same way the 'fancy' humans have. This was more than fancy. The locals are far more stuck up, but clean better than her home town. This was a very different experience, and she had to learn her street smarts all over again to blend in well with the neighborhood. However, even worse than being abused or judgment for her skin color was tragedy that struck. Her mother's prepared to have a second baby. Keanu didn't want that, but even she was slightly affected by it after she was born. She was about fourty-five years older than her little sister. Sadly, she died of measles when she was seven months old, but Keanu wanted to treat her like it was her baby just like her parents. But the hardest obstacle was to come than being single.

It was a bright day, but dark clouds stormed the lands ahead of the city. It was located in a peninsula, meaning there was nowhere to run other than by boat. Unfortunately, her city's fleet hadn't been used very often. Her rightful elven home that lies within the city had no chance against the biggest threat that was about to hit the city: the first ever undead invasion. They stormed through the lands, ravaging everyone they can find. Their numbers were being taken out one to six, and it appears they had nowhere to run. Keanu was forced to hide in a cave with her mother tightly hugging her.

While all of this was going down, her father was further south to serve jury duty. Once the invasion passed, he came home. All eyes in the city frowned upon him for his race, and before Keanu could ever see him one more time, the guards executed him. This made her bitter for her people even more. This was her father who did most of the raising. This was not great news to hear. Now, she and her mother were on their own.

Once they returned home, it was still standing, but at a terrible condition. Like the city, Keanu and her mother got to work, and made the home just like knew. Just like that, her home was built overnight, but this gave them a great cost. There was only two things her mother could do: either give up many basic needs in her house, or give up her fifty-year old daughter. This was not an easy choice. She had to give her up to pay off her house. Keanu accepted this fate, gave her mother one last kiss and goodbye, and now was on her own in the streets for the very first time. Around this time, new races were spotted in the city that gave her a startle: Orcs, Minotaur, Trolls, Goblins, even more modest-looking elves, they were all visiting the city, and spreading the way they spoke, which was much like how the humans have spoken. Now the elves are picking up the way they speak, and she easily made friends after that. Nevertheless, she did get in a lot of trouble for stealing. This was not in any way healthy for her to live and steal food that was not good for her.

Months have passed, and nothing was any better for her. Keanu shriveled up from starvation, and overall lost her original shape her mother and the light have blessed her. Then, a very old warrior came up to Keanu, and offered her a job at a restaurant she recently opened. She nods, immediately wanting to work for a house, but this was a great benefit: her manager and employer offered her a place in her home. Immediately, she nods, not having a roof over her head to be in for months! This was life-changing. She was eating healthy! She can now work for a living and make a little bit of money for the cost of rent! This progressed her along the way. She had payed off 6 years of rent for her manager's place. She got along with workers! But most importantly, her shape was beginning to come back! From ribs poking out of her skin to possessing smooth skin as well as skinny curves once more.

To this day, she still works there always arguing with her co-workers because of their absences, having to end up taking their positions to make extra money. But this lady also took up archery lessons, and would gladly volunteer to take up jobs any mercenary would do if she wanted! It's the best job out there for her time, and people are still looking for more to defeat upper coming threats that have Keanu curious. She now thirsts for adventure. Just like in her childhood, she wishes to become the generic myth everyone talks about seeing: The Black Ranger.
