    Specialization: Illusion

    Illusions are the most common tricks among most will o' wisps, and their ability is amplified by traveling together.


    Intangibility

    As all spirits, the wisps have no physical form and are immune to conventional weaponry. They are still vulnerable to magic and other non-physical means.


    Vulnerability to Light

    Though the wisps are not damaged by the light, they are weakened by it, and potentially driven into a hibernation like state if exposed to it for too long. Natural light, like the sun, exhibits a more potent effect than artificial sources.


    Casting Prowess

    The colony designates members to specific tasks, letting multiple wisps concentrate on maintaining different spells, or bolstering a single one.


    Magic


    Minor Illusion

    A single wisp concentrates to create a static illusion in a location of it's choice. Further wisps can join to amplify the complexity of the illusion. Anything created via minor illusion does not physically exist or have a smell, sound, taste, or texture (though it can appear to have one).


    Sleep

    A single wisp concentrates to either put a creature to sleep, or deepen their slumber. Alert creatures may resist this effect, but will retain an ongoing feeling of drowsiness if they do so. Further wisps can join to amplify the effects or affect multiple creatures at the same time.


    Dancing Lights

    A single wisp concentrates to create a light source at a location. These sources take the form of motes of light that look identical to the wisps themselves. Further wisps can join to either increase the size of the motes, or their intensity.


    Conjure Whispers

    The colony creates a sound of its' choosing that emanates from a location of its' choosing. The complexity and volume of the sound can be increased relative to the number of free wisps that join in the casting.


    Field of Glamour

    The colony's most advanced spell. Wisps spread out to form a barrier that may take any shape of the colony's choice, provided there are enough free wisps to surround the area. The edges of this zone form a barrier that camouflages all creatures inside from anything outside the zone. This barrier is not physical, and creatures entering or leaving the area will be appropriately affected as they cross the threshold. This spell masks sights, sounds, and smells, but other specialized senses may penetrate it.
